Ralf Dörper's Eraserhead (MP3s)
Ralf Dörper is best known as a founding member of Die Krupps and Propaganda, but his musical career started earlier, as a member of avant-garde punk band S.Y.P.H. in the late 70s. When S.Y.P.H. broke up in 1980 out of protest against the commercialization of the local punk scene, he recorded his first solo project, the 7" single Eraserhead on the Rondo Biermeier label. He also collaborated with Jürgen Engler under the name Die Lemminge, releasing one 7" single Lorelei in 1981 on the Pure Freude label. In 1983 these two singles were released by UK label Operation Twilight on one 12" as Ralph Dorper's Eraserhead. Not available on the blogosphere before, here it is for your listening pleasure (if your idea of pleasure is dark electronic music from Germany...): 1 Ralf Dörper - Assault (some sources claim this is his tribute to John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13) 2 Ralf Dörper - Eraserhead (obviously a David Lynch tribute) 3 Die Lemminge - Lorelei (a fantastic version of this classic 19th century German song, lyrics by Heinrich Heine) 4 Die Lemminge - Im Himmel (supposedly another Eraserhead tribute) http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2008/1...rpers-era.html

I hope you are sorted out now, it took me a while to find it in my stack of data DVD+Rs, but i finally did. I've been seeding for a few hours now and it seems that at least four people have completed, so I think i'll shut down my computer soon, when I go to sleep. This one also took me a while to download it, its evasive nature must have something to do with the fact that an official LP seems to be very much in print on Editions RZ.
How's Reno these days, by the way? I remember when I was in Nevada, a couple years ago it snowed on the 1st of September, and then last year it seemed like the hot weather just wasn't gonna ever end. There were days of extreme heat in November and the cold days were very sporadic. I was glad to leave before the winter really arrived, though. I saw in a news website that some nut killed some people at an IHOP yesterday. Anyway, AGP 165: Roland Kayn, is now available to download from archive.org: http://www.archive.org/details/agp165 |

Ah, thanks for your help, hbj!
Of all the cities I've known, I dislike Reno least. Not too bad a place, really, and the snow is part of her charm. Only month I've never seen snow here is August. Sad, that Carson City shooting at the IHOP. The pressure is making people crack, not just here but elsewhere around the world. Glad you mentioned the 16-bit version of Roland Kayn's Simultan AGP 165. Just one door down is the 24-bit one at AGP 164. Enjoy!

You're welcome. I'm glad to give a helpful hand. Yeah, I agree that Reno is a nice place, I really like that the summer around those parts is relatively short. I used to go to Reno to buy books and records at Sundance Bookstore, and Discology. Never visited Barnes & Noble, but always wanted to. What if it was a better place than Borders in Carson City? Anyway, it was nice to think of the past. It also made me think of my old folks and my brother, who live in Yerington. Hate the fact that the situation is that tough, but I would suppose there's no reason yet to lose all hope. Anyway, i really hope you enjoy that recording. I think at some point I should get the LP. Thanks for the link to the AGP164 installment, I think i'm missing it, i'll download it tomorrow. Although I don't normally engage in conversation, it was nice to talk to you. Must go now, hopefully i'll be able to post a listing of my collection of AGP installments sometime soon... By the way, I'll try to upload AGP111 to Megaupload or something, if there is any torrent-impaired person who might be interested in it, just let me know. |

Edit: I'll keep seeding for a while but my (overheating) laptop is not always on. So here's track 8, to complement HBJ's Dropbox link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zdbc1n |

Strange. Something must have gotten screwed up either when i compressed the directory into a .rar file, or when i uploaded to dropbox. According to my Trader's Little Helper, my original files were flawless:
Radulescu_08_Clepsydra.flac: tested ok (file is decodable without error). Radulescu_09_Astray.flac: tested ok (file is decodable without error). No errors occured. Checksum file 'C:\Users\hipster bebop junkie\Documents\Horatiu Radulescu IV (AGP111)\ffp.ffp' Line 1: file 'Radulescu_08_Clepsydra.flac' verified ok (checksum does match). Line 2: file 'Radulescu_09_Astray.flac' verified ok (checksum does match). No errors occured. In any case, thanks for uploading a fixed copy of track 8, rappard. Perhaps i should delete that .rar file, and just re-upload the other track, info file and ffp just so people wouln't have to grab unnecesary and useless bytes. I'm still seeding this, by the way. Below is a list of all trackers on my bitTorrent client for this specific elusive motherfucker in case it might be useful for someone: http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce http://tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce http://tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce udp://tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce http://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce http://genesis.1337x.org:1337/announce http://exodus.1337x.org/announce http://tpb.tracker.thepiratebay.org:80/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce http://tracker.kamyu.net/announce http://nemesis.1337x.org/announce http://tracker.istole.it/announce http://tracker.openbittorrent.com/announce http://tracker.istole.it/announce http://tracker.publicbt.com/announce SONIC GAIL, if you are talking about Chuck Palahniuk's "Fight Club" (why would you do that in this thread?), shit is not so complicated to decypher. Madness and the longing for love (or sex) seem to be the key to the whole shenanigans.

I used Winrar this time, I think i had problems with files zipped with it in the recent past besides this one. I'll be using 7zip from now on.
Here's track 9 of the AGP111: http://www.sendspace.com/file/7j1lgt Info text file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/iku6wm .FFP: http://www.sendspace.com/file/8189xd .PDF file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/t0kuol |

@Mempile:
- Trader's Little Helper also decodes .torrent files. - Deluge (http://deluge-torrent.org/) is a pretty good client too. |
