I don't want to rub salt into Hip Priest's wounds, but that's the Chelsea I love to see. The frustration is, I was offered two tickets for this match at half the usual price earlier in the week, but I had to turn them down because I could't get in touch with any of my usual football-going mates to see if they wanted to go.

Daniel Levy = ridiculous.
There was an article in the Evening Standard a couple of months ago which said he basically wanted to have a more proven European Manager at the helm so that he could eventually sell up - seeing as Ramos would be seen as a better candidate to get Spurs into the top 4, thus increasing their share price. You could fit a whole conspiracy around Bent being a part of that - sign a player who your rivals might need but you dont neccessarily - but we shouldnt have to really, its not like this is government or anything.

fuckin typical! frustration is common place now!

a story about ramos i heard. his team (presume seville) was winning 1-0 with 20 minutes left but they were devensive and just labouring around, not being great at all. he pulled off a star player and didnt replace him.... they had ten men on for no reason and his attitude was "now you will work for your 3 points" he aint gonna allow berbatov to sulk and be a pre madonna. i sincerely hope it works or we could be the new west ham!.......

And what does "Ronaldo's coming off of injured reserve" mean? Football covered by American commentators is hilarious in every way.

Unlike most yanks, I love soccer.
I'm more open-minded than you that way.
But soccer still isn't as great of a sport as the NFL, sorry gits.

Ah ysee we all love that kind of attitude, however as Spurs fans we are obliged to allow the Ginolas of this world to behave like overpampered celebs... I just hope he gets the best out of Dawson Lennon and Huddlestone in the next couple of years.

But anyway, the fact i know this game sold out ages ago means i know more about American Football than you would like to credit me with, but the many American sports i enjoy are beside the point because of course you have no knowledge of this.

Anyway, this thread is about football not NFL.

Fabregas getting that late goal was good for my fantasy team, but alas id prefer to see the Scum lose it.

Does anyone ever listen to Five Live (in the UK)? Alan Green is the best commentator there is, he should surely replace Motson if and when he retires as the Official BBC televised commentator.

Right, I'm off home for a tube of pringles, possibly a pizza, some beer, and England vs Croatia on the telly.

I'm torn between i) wanting us to qualify because, well, I'm an English football fan, and ii) wanting us to fail because we're always crap in the finals of these tournaments anyway and it's better to get the national embarressment over and done with at an early stage.

(Do we have any Croats on the board?)
