I finished up my cover art today. I'm pleased with it.
We should all send scans of the cover art from the cassette we recieve. Or at least, include a review of it. Mailing tomorrow. |

Does a track listing count as cover art? You can have typed and printed, or hand written.

I don't know. Maybe I'll attempt some covert art instead. That might be nice.

I don't really have room for a track list. Maybe I'll just include the track list on a sheet of paper. Or I don't know.

Where's Pookie? We need a ruling. I'm kind of in favour of no track list - the sender could maybe recognise his or her mixtape from the review, and then reveal what it was in response.

I don't think there are any rules to this particularly. Include a track listing if you want to, do artwork if you want to. Don't do either if you want to be really mysterious. |

I like this idea better. Also, you can't look ahead on the tape, and see a band/song you already know and like/dislike and skip it. It forces you to hear the whole thing. Something like that...
It should be revealed whose tape it is, after it is reviewed. Should be easy for us to recognize. |

On a personal level, I'll prefer not to know what the tracks are before I listen. Preconceptions can be a killer with music I find. But if there is a track list, I'll just ignore it.
Unless people want a ruling one way or the other. We can decide democratically. Hey, why don't I start a pole? I've never done one of those before!!! |

It would also be interesting whilst listening to try and guess whose tape it is that you've got.

I'm always in favour of a poll! I think you can click 'edit' on yr first post in this thread and add one by using the 'advanced' option. But a new thread devoted to the issue would be cool too

How's about you starting a mix cd's swap? I'm sure there would be enough people willing to take part, including many who are taking part in the mix tape swap. I think to mix the two might be a bit confusing, mainly for me as the person coordinating! |
