I was fourteen when I joined the board too. It must be the age to do it! I do miss the old board where it was okay to repeat threads and it was unheard of to have 10,000+ posts... I think atari did though. I only managed 300 in two years! I wish I kept my old name JiggleJiggly, mmmm. I can't imagine ten or so years from now... will 14-year-olds continue to join?

I'm writing this from the suburbs of Northwest Indiana.
I'm seventeen. My legal name is Phillip, I moved to Alaska and there chose Patrick as my Christian name. The vast majority of my high school calls me Jesus. I drink more coffee than the average human drinks water. When I want to listen to music I trust Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Animal Collective, Menomena, and Flaming Lips. If I'm watching a movie, chances are it has Denzel Washington, Dustin Hoffman, Will Farrell, or was directed by Wes Anderson. My favorite author is C.S. Lewis, and I sincerely doubt I'll ever be able to decide on a favorite book. A part of me feels obliged to say the Bible, since it's the basis of my faith, but since I haven't read it all I can't rightly say that. I walk everywhere. I normally get in five miles a day, though it's not unusual to walk ten.

Mm, I like Syd era Floyd, but I love after Gilmour joined. And after he left it all went to shit for me. Their prime years was when he was around. And yours? |

I'm a dedicated Pink Floyd fan, but I could never get into the Syd Barrett stuff, and it kills me how so many people call it the only "true" Floyd. Roger Waters albums are so much better thought out and really contain cohesive themes throughout them, which makes those albums so interesting for me. But Piper at the Gates of Dawn is just one bit of surreal chaos to the next. No real binding thought.
After Roger left, it all went to hell. Not that he's my favorite musician, but that man could plan an album. I don't listen to Gilmour's Pink Floyd.

Indeed, although so far into my book it is pretty sad. But, I bet the multiverse will get fixed. |

I don't listen to Gilmour's floyd either. That post I wrote was probably not very clear as I was on medication for my tooth. Anyway, what I meant to say was the Gilmour, Waters, Mason, and Wright was the best version of Floyd. Anything else just sucked. |

Gilmour Mason Wright was lacking in this thing I like to call 'good music'. As much as I hate him, Waters brought them back down to earth. The Division Bell sucked so hard...

the abscense of roger waters is proof that david gilmour is incapable of leading a band on his own.
i love waters though, bastard that he is.

Yeah, Gilmour's solo stuff is incredibly boring too. Ugh. So is Waters', but at least he isn't a pussy about it.

waters doesn't get enough credit though, he's an ace bass player, particularly considering that he's tone-deaf
like, he's not the most technically proficient but he has a style and it sounds damn good to me

Yeah, I love his bass playing in Pompeii, really spot on for being tone deaf as you said.
I wish they'd all reunite for one last tour, I'd sell one of my kidneys to see them |
