i see. My favourite song of the new album is Die Wellen, brilliant lyrics. It was on that Musterhaus #6 i think, but the full band version is better. |

try tabula rasa or ende neu as well. einsturzende neubauten are popssibly the greatest artists around at the moment. i say artists because i dont like branding them as a band...... they are soooo goooood... check out the strategies against archietecture 1,2,3 as well for a overview of their career. they need repeated listens to be fully understood and appreciated. do not dissmiss them on first listen.... |

I like what I've heard.
I also recently discovered that Blixa Bargeld is/was in the band? Blixa is fucking cool.

It's the first place I became aware of him.
I love the old pictures of him where he's all scary thin and leathered up and shrieking. |

Ok. So I just looked at the photos above. So is this basically Blixas band? I thought he may have just played a Bad Seeds type role.

He's always been the frontman.
You NEED to see the video for ZNS, with the crazy butoh-inspired whatnot. Excellent! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUHCl4TUdTA |

This is one of those videos that I watch over and over again. It's incredible. So EN are touring the UK in the spring, but not in March I take it. Shame. I am planning a London trip in March (along with the Art Club at school) and we will be looking for things to do there (other than museums and all that) including concerts. If anyone has any ideas....my teacher and I are just trying to come up with a concert of some kind, to try to mix things up a bit. Type of music isn't really an issue, no one actually has to go if they don't want to, but I would like to hit up something we normally wouldn't get to see over here.

I still don't have my copy of Alles Wieder Offen, which is starting to piss me of no end.
Anyway, a Euro tour is starting to fall together for late next Spring. Dates confirmed so far: April 26: Stockholm April 27, Gotenburg April 28th: Oslo April 30th: Copenhagen May 3rd: Porto May 4th: Lisbon May 11th: Lyon May 12th: Paris May 13th: Offenbach May 15th: Hamburg May 16th: Leipzig May 17th: München May 18th: Köln May 20th: Amsterdam May 21st: Brussels May 22nd: London May 24th: Berlin I'm waiting to see what comes between Lisbon and Lyon, in the hope that I might be able to celebrate my birthday by going to see EN in a nice city. My fingers are crossed for a Venice or Rome date. As yet unconfirmed are dates in Barcelona, Istanbul, 2 dates in Russia, and dates in Italy and elsewhere in Spain. LUX: I've seen your post, I'll check the listings for you. |

I hope they'll add at least one Austria gig.
I don't want to drive to Munich for a single show again, the last time it ended with a car accident. Thanks for the Info, sonicl. |

I think they are my favourite band too(besides The Fall). But "favourite band" is such a fragile term, i try to avoid it. Yeah, hopefully they'll play vienna or Linz, or Vienna and Linz. |

And if they want to check out some real industrial location, they better check out Bratislava too.

As far as I remember Linz, it's beautiful.
(well, although...when I was there, I was 9 years old and loved the Transformers)

Some nice venues and nice parks and a few other good things but all in all Linz isn't too exciting.
And we have no decent record shop here. |
