yes, i read that in today's paper. i'm really glad that media in belgium hasn't really taken a side: they covered both the footage of the israelis being attacked and the autopsy reports.

after hearing the stories though, it doesn't surprise me to read how victims were shot in the back.

oh and israel refused an international investigation. they'll do it themselves. all footage recorded by passengers on board has been taken or destroyed, released images or recordings have been edited. they are making it hard to be believed.

Question Time last week had a debate on this last week where both ends of the arguement (I dont think theyre "sides") were aired, and it feels hopeless. Israel fucked it up of course, but Hamas is an explicitly antisemetic organisation. All these claims ive heard that Israel is secular are completely laughable too.
This is a conflict i can see resulting in a "dirty" bomb. But that will only happen if the two sides were to resolve and live in peace, paradoxically. The extremists thrive on the ethnic identities of civilians being indistinguishable so they can relate less to those they consider collaborators or infidels.
