anyway the trumpet is nice but i didn't like the hiphop/spoken word tracks. well the last one has both and it's a lovely voice actually but like poetry slam maybe idk.

Will certainly be buying it but if you have the 1961 Village Vanguard recordings with Dolphy I suspect it will be a lot of the same. Lots of 1 chord vamps and sprawling solos

YES! And they very much delivered with the Live At Bush Hall album earlier this year. No surprise there, I've seen them with that material a month before they recorded the Bush Hall gig. Their "interim" stuff is goddamn good, I'm really excited for what they come up next.
