anyway the other reason why the english are probably less insane is that people in yr cuntry tend to drink in public places, surrounded by people, and talking. so you vent your issues, you joke about them, and it sort of serves like a vomitory for pent-up drama and a kind of social control, as you get multiple perspectives instead of getting lost in your own head.

too many 'mericans drink alone in front of the tv (or the computer). that shit's bound to fuck you up mentally. as this plague spreads across the atlantic, beware of your compatriots...

a lot of people look at sleep as a reward. but whenever i try getting a lot of sleep it makes me feel even more like shit. it makes me lazier for some reason. and if i dont get much sleep i act moody sometimes... i think i might be bipolar. anyways...

This, my friend, is a result of not sleeping enough and sleeping too much when ya do. I know because I've been there, and considering it's currently 3:29 in the am and I've gotta be up early...sometimes I'm still there.

Forcing yourself into a relatively routine sleep schedule may clear things up...but of course, Murmer kid, that isn't much fun. The act of forcing myself into sleep against my will is still a nightmare within itself.

I still recommend that relatively set schedule, though.

Write some more songs, I really enjoyed that last one!

yeah i know.. ive tried changing the way i sleep every night.. but i dont know, i love being awake at night for some reason. theres something about night time that makes me more comfortable and i tend to want to do so much more.. i think its probably because everyone is asleep at night and its quiet.. i like doing things on my own, im used to it. im not an only child but i hardly even see my brother much. so ever since i was a small child ive done whatever to entertain myself. and i became really comfortable with that.. and during the day its the opposite and its really loud in my house. eh.. but i should probably stop sleeping at 5 am every night, its way too late. i think ive gotten my body used to it and thats not a good thing. because when i need to wake up early for something i cant seem to fall asleep the night before until the time im used to.

oh and thanks! that means a lot. i havent been writing many songs lately, everytime i write one i always feel like it can be A LOT better. oh well.. i'll keep writing.

A couple years ago at the Earl (Atlanta). I bought a copy of what was then the new Mudhoney album (the Lucky Ones) and wanted it signed. After the gig was over me and a few friends stood in the back of the small venue, near the tour bus. Steve came out helping the roadie load equipment. Talked a few mins + he went back inside. He came out a bit later w/ the Australian bassist (Guy???), talked to both of em a few more minutes before they went back inside. At this point, I'm missing two sigs...Dan Peter's + Mark Arms. It's raining but I don't care. Roadie loads up more shit, and asks us what we're doing. "I wanna meet the rest of Mudhoney"...he responds, word-for-word (I'll never forget), "Oh, cool...go inside, first door to the left, grab a beer". So yeah, I hung out backstage w/ Mudhoney for a bit. Dan was looking awful tired, sitting on a couch. Mark was talking to some girl and seemed very happy in doing so. Naturally, I approach Dan first. Shake hands, he signs my album (and yeah, being the weirdo I am I think "this dude drummed w. Nirvana for a brief stint" as we shake hands. I didn't wanna wear out my welcome so I didn't stay long. Dan, oddly, seemed to be the only one a bit bummed about me and my friends (peeking in from the doorway) leaving. But ya know, I looked at Mark and realized it was a once in a lifetime shot, so I, like an asshole, interupt this convo he's having w/ the girl and say "Hey, Mark, can ya sign this"...+ he does, circling the "A" in "Arm" into a little anarchy sign...and I went on my way.

I'll always remember it.

edit: it wasn't the earl. I saw All the Saints a the Earl...can't remember the name of this venue but it was a tiny place.

Those are definitly bipolar symptoms. If u think u might be get checked out now. It gets worse with age and can turn into schizophrenia if not treated. I'm not talkin out of my ass 2 of my closest family members r bipolar and a very good friend I havve known 4 years is schizo. I watched all of them suffer through their 20s until they finallly had enough and went to the psych. They r all on abilify and I saw a 100% turn around in their moods and behavior. Don't waste year 20s being miserable.

im exactly the same, terrible mood if i dont sleep enough, sometimes i need to take a nap just to change my mood a bit. i'm unable to wake up when i need to, and it takes me hours to come back to the real world, in fact i only feel like i'm really up in the evening.

i think thats pretty common.

about my need for many hours doctor said it's caused by an irregular sleep pattern and aenemia.

and bipolar disorder doesn't 'turn' into schitzophrenia. the schitzophrenic person is usually... schitzophrenic. there are certain ages and periods in life where it manifests itself, that's all.

The average person will me misdiagnosed a few times before they find out what's really wrong. Schitzophrenia is usually genetic. However, if somebody has a tendency to develop certain problems (schitzophrenia included) drugs like acid or constant use of weed can trigger it, or make it worse - it seems.

it's not like doctors even agree on those things, that's how behind we are in studying 'mental illness'.

amusement parks can be fun.. i tend to go on days with less visitors (on weekdays during the school year) and take my own food. students get discounts too. this is the nicest amusement park i ever went to:

 

 

 

 

it's in the netherlands and the original park was designed by a dutch illustrator (anton pieck) everything has this fairy tale theme and looks nice... even trashcans. now, when they add new attractions, they still try to make it fit into the atmosphere. i used to go there every year with my parents since even they could kind of enjoy it (there were attractions but also a fairy tale forest with castles and dwarves and everything to stroll through)

i went back this year with my boyfriend and it was a great day.
