Well done. I take the chance to hijack this thread and post pictures of my way to and back from work. Pictures are low quality 'cauSe both my digital cameras have been stolen together with my bag a while ago and at the moment I just use my phone to take pics. It's the best and most invigorating walk that I take almost every day, unless I'm on the public transport.

Yeah. While this isn't probably the thread or even the forum to be discussing economic theories, I'd recommend Will Hutton's book The World We're In and Anthony Giddens' The Third Way and its Critics. both are accessible, current and focus specifically on Britain - although with inevitable global context. |

For a phone-cam, those are somes great pictures. It's interesting how depending on where you're taking the shots, some of it could only be london, while for some reason the south bank always reminds me of Paris. Not the usual pretty Paris, but some kind of pompidou-esque Paris. I dunno. I have a point I'm sure. I'm just not sure what that point is exactly. Great pics either way.

There's also the fact that someone who lives in a big city like this tends to plan things way ahead because it is more difficult to meet with certain people depending on what schedule someone is on. Some friends sometimes I don't see for a month or more because either they are busy or I am.
Demonrail - The majority of those were taken between Bank, Aldgate and Shadwell/Limehouse. They are such shit quality, though, I can't wait to get another good camera. I am far from being a good photographer, I just like to take random pictures that I can then use as inspiration for artwork. |

porky i like your pictures.
btw that "fuck naps" statement was completely irrational. i am in no condition to drive, particularly on the side of the road that i'm not familiar with.

They're honestly not that good because of the quality and the brightness/contrast, but thanks anyway. By the way, East London is the best for taking pictures. Such fantastic mixture of ultra-modern buildings, gritty reality, old buildings etc. It's very inspirational purely from a a visual point of view.

yeah i like the juxtaposition of the old with the new and all the grime and dirt with these immaculate modern buildings and that. there's definitely a feel to it.

I walked into the place next to the George Tavern casually one night before it was shut down, and I thought that it was a late night drinking den. It was full of questionable ladies entertaining even more questionable old, creepy guys. |
