Point is: Kids will be kids, but sometimes, just sometimes you need to slap them around.

after watching ministry on youtube, I have to ask.....
WTF IS WITH PAILHEAD?? I never really thought about it before, but how could Ian prevent Al from sacrificing him to his dark god the moment after he ORDERS him to put the needle down? |

that's so totally false. yes sometimes it's annoying where there are cunts who use their elbows. otherwise can be a lotta fun... especially when done with a sense of humor you know, just for a laugh. |

although irrelevant to the current discussion at hand, i enjoyed the show (ottawa). it was definetly not your average show and i enjoyed the intimacy aspect of it. the main reason i went was just to see ian mackaye, cause you know... it's ian mackaye

and he said that he is a hendrix afficianado... he owns every known hendrix bootleg... weird. |

I've been collecting the Fugazi live cds from the Dischord site, and in response to the "No moshing" conversation in this thread, I think it's been alittle exaggerated and taken out of context. On one of the cds, he tells the crowd to dance and actually move about instead of standing there. So the person who got offered their 5 bucks back must of been doing more than having a good time, or atleast having a good time at others expense. On the Instrument dvd, during a gig, Ian tells some guys to stop punching and kicking and directs him back to the football field if he wants to do that shit, then Guy goes on about seeing the dude eating icecream before the show. HAHA.
Fugazi are one of them bands that are very misinterpreted by alot of people. That's evident by this thread.

yeah, fugazi are hilarious.
especially guy. the way he sings is fucking phenomenally hilarious... "i-i'yam pissin' on yer moDEMSahhhh." over a fucking reggae noise guitar part. or that weird guitar riff "bun nunnle bundle bunn bunn bunn bunda bunnel" as he goes "i-u-u-u-i real-ized i yate the swound of geetarz!" and don't even get me started on "cha-cha-cha-cha-cha-champweeON!!! you'll get YERZ!" as this ridiculously heroic high pitched guitar part comes in. as for ian, his whole persona is ridiculous.. "CAN'T YOU FIND A BETTER WAY TO DANCE?" ian asks the slamdancin' kids, and the kids realize the error of their ways.. since Ian had slamdanced ten years earlier as a kid, it therefore was not okay for kids who weren't around back then to repeat his action and slam dance on their own. His lyrics are even more hilarious: "THIS IS A SONG WITH NO WORDS!" see? ian's a liar! cuz he was sayin' words!! as for "this is not a fuck you song", it is definitely DEFINITELY a fuck you song. I can tell! they're fucking hilarious! comedians! they smoke too much weed! |

on this bootleg i have, they stop a song in the middle of it and they go "shut up everybody!! let me explain what this song is about..." and he starts to talk about the song, human rights or whatever, and if someone cheers at any point of his speech he tells them to shut up and let him finish.
and if someone is an asshole, ian calls them "sir", if you are nice and everything you're just some dude in the background, but if you start moshing and punching people ian refers to you as sir...i know he tries to shock this people into guilt but it seldom works, dude always throws them out of their gigs. |

Cool. You were there? Just to tell you, I was the guy in the yellow t-shirt sitting on the stage next to the drums.

fugazi are a laugh riot. they have a song called "bulldog front". and in the background of waiting room.. "sittin in hte waitin room" and guy goes "WAHHHHHHHHHAOHHHHHHHHHH." then, "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea, come on and kill!" or some such nonsense. hilarious. they're a bunch of racist drugged-out hippies who beat women. their idol is gg alin. it's sad. |
