psyche rock was supposed to be the theme from futurama but they couldn't get the rights to use it so groening and cohen ask the guy who was to do the music for every episode to make a piece of music similar to that. by the way, there's a lot of songs that i barely see the similarities. |

I've been trying to get my family to realize that Interpol sounds just like Joy Division, but they won't listen.

Joy Division and Interpol might as well be the same band.

Most songs remind me of other songs. I don't see how they cannot. Borrowings, appropriations, whatever you want to call them, are natural and inevitable.

La Bamba reminds me of Twist & Shout... and over a million other songs too.
Seriously though, mine would have to be Yo La Tengo:Autumn Sweater::Wilco:Heavy Metal Drummer

The Enemy's 'We'll Live and Die in These Towns' sounds like a carbon copy of 'Going Underground' by The Jam

regarding: Captain Beefheart - Hot head
that's funny someone mentioned this, there is another song that sounds almost identical to it as well, and someone made a note of it on perfect sounds forever or some website like that.. I can't remember for the life of me.. |

Iterpol sounds like a shitty Joy Division. Listen to the bass and the voice and the tone of the all the songs. Word, Adam. You know how it be.

I always thought that Interpol and Muse were both incredibly overrated. But if you tell any of their fans that they'll start saying that your favourite bands suck, and it hurts too much to hear anyone say that about Sonic Youth.
