England squad for the world cup has been announced.
Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Stoke), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Burnley). Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Fabian Delph (Manchester City), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Harry Maguire (Leicester), Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Tottenham Hotspur), Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Ashley Young (Manchester United). Midfielders: Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea). Forwards: Harry Kane (Tottenham), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal). Standby: Lewis Cook (Bournemouth), Tom Heaton (Burnley), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Jake Livermore (West Brom), James Tarkowski (Burnley). Not having it that Welbeck is in over Lookman. Just cos he's been playing in the Bundesliga he gets overlooked. Ridiculous.

Wellbeck was the one pick that seemed out of place to me but when I thought about it I couldn't come up with a better alternative. I didn't know anything about Lookman though. On the whole I'm pretty happy with the squad, not that it looks like a world-beating one but (Wellbeck aside) I don't see any big surprises. Although I'd like to see Tarkowski promoted from standby to the final squad. But there again, not sure who I'd want him to replace. |

It was an ok game as far as finals go but certainly no classic. Although to be honest I was just relieved to get a break from all the Royal madness I've been subjected to while visiting family this week.

Yesterday just brought home that Mourinho is getting left behind as a manager in every possible way.
How was Seville, demo?

I was only in Murcia/Valencia this time. Really nice. It's where they filmed the Spaghetti Westerns, apparently. Very different vibe to Seville. Not better or worse but definitely different. Yeah, agree about Mourinho. He's looking less and less relevant now. So what's your final verdict on Allardyce? On Moyes, he ultimately did the job he was brought in to do, and evidently in a toxic atmosphere. He came across as a decent guy. The football, though, a bit like Mourinho's really, just hasn't kept up. And playing 5 at the back at home to Stoke should always qualify as a sackable offence. |

Ah nice! Never been round there.
I'm sure my final verdict on Allardyce is the exact same as yours when he left West Ham. Thank god. Allardyce did the same thing against Swansea I think it was. 1-1 and he takes off Bolasie and replaces him with Funes Mori and 70 minutes. The cunt. It'd be great if you got Pellegrini. Tbh, I'd rather him than Silva.

yeah. debruyne, bas dost, luiz gustavo, dante, they had a good all around squad. draxler, kruse, schurrle (looking @ wikipage now). naldo who is now one of the biggest players at schalke.
they basically got pilfered. and they just made it, won 3-1 at home, 1-0 as visitors. ok i found it. look at their 2014-15 season team https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014...lfsburg_season after debruyne left they dropped to 8th then 16 now 16th again. brutal. |

So Pellegrini is confirmed. If the owners back him financially, and keep out of transfer dealings, he could be a really good appointment. I'd have perhaps preferred someone more likely to stay long-term but of the managers we were realistically linked with I'd say he's probably the best option.
Silva looks increasingly like a done deal at Everton. |

Not at all. He'll get some money but nowhere near enough for the job in hand. Not to win anything but just to make it possible to start consistently challenging for that 7th spot, which I'd say is about the ceiling for those teams remaining in the Prem as the top 6 moves further out of reach.

the country Rwanda is now sponsoring Arsenal in a 30 Milion Euro deal. So basically the Dutch government is sponsoring Arsenal, because we are sending money to Rwanda for development aid

Awwwww *deep breath* yeaaaahhhhhhhhh
As much as I'd like to see Klopp choke (again) I honestly think Liverpool are gonna pip it. If that's the case then I win a bet. The thing I'm most interested to see is Ronaldo going face-to-face with TAA. If TAA (I'm not writing his full double barrel surname) can hold fast against him then he can do it against anybody. And he's only 19.

And thinking about it that midfield could be an interesting one too.
Yes, I'm excited by this game. Bet you my internet goes down as we're watching it.
