Have decided to return the Stan Smiths for these PF Flyers Number 5. I like these much better, plus they're brown leather, not black. I placed the order this morning and they're already on a Fed Ex truck--for free S&H. Zappos is amazing.

There is only place that's worthy of my shoe-shopping money: Zappos.

They have a huge inventory, and they always ship free. When you order, mark that you want the standard shipping and about five minutes later you get an e-mail saying your shipping has been upgraded to overnight delivery free of charge.

I think those are not distributed over here, I'll investigate oversas shipping costs... with the dollar quite "low" I could consider ordering a pair or a couple of pairs...

Yeah, the PF Flyer Number 5 is a good-looking model, I think. I like going with leather because it means a slightly dressier-looking sneaker, if that makes any sense. Something I'd feel okay about wearing with my darker khakis if I had a casual lunch with a client or something like that.

I also lust after some Jack Pucell Converse leather shoes. I was after the model called OTR. But they're so damned popular that they are virtually unattainable anywhere, even on Zappos.
