Death In June - Live-2002-04-30 - Waregem (Belgium)

"Ou est Bin laden?, Ou est Bin laden? ..."
This is my favorite recording of Death In June live. Unlike my previous live post of Death In June, Douglas is not talkative, it's just straight music. And to top it all off, mid way through the show you get Boyd Rice. Now I know some of you think that Mr. Rice has ruined the last couple of DIJ releases and are displeased with his influence. I disagree. I don't want a repeat of the early releases "Rose Clouds.." and "But What Happens...?" Great releases, but they are in the past... Move on.

Here is a decent review of this particular concert.
"The waiting for Death In June seemed to last endless. But finally Douglas P. entered the stage. He was wearing his white scary mask and waving a black flag with the Death In June logo on it. Then the concert started with the old classic ‘Till the living flesh is burned’. In the background a ‘piggie’ sample was playing. The first few songs started with only drums and Douglas singing and playing additional percussion. After a while he grabbed his acoustic guitar, then things really started for me. Although Death In June had a rather minimal two-man occupation, I didn’t miss a whole band. For me the songs stayed upright and they were performed very convincing by these experienced musicians.
We were treated to all the Death In June classics, from Heaven Street (1981!) till songs from the last All Pigs Must Die album. A few highlights were ‘But what ends’, ‘Fall apart’, ‘Kameradschaft’, ‘Foretold’, ‘Rose clouds’, ‘She said destroy’, ‘Smashed to bits’, ‘Giddy giddy caroussel’, the list could go on and on.
Douglas made various references to actual subjects. ‘C’est un reve’ was started with “Ou est Bin laden?”, instead of Klaus Barbie in the original. There were more references to the Taliban later on. I also noticed that on ‘The enemy within’ he sang “These are strange days for you, me and Europa”, instead of Germany. Also noticable was the outfit of Douglas P.: the mask of the beginning was soon swapped for very original headgear, which reminded me of a swab… Only at the end Douglas showed his true face.
Death In June played for a long time, and came back for various encores, four if my memory serves me well. Towards the end Boyd Rice joined Death in June on stage. First he added some spoken words, like the introduction to ‘Tick Tock’, the text about “People who like to waste time…”, the subtle reference to World Serpent. Then some tracks from the recent ‘Boyd Rice and friends’ album followed, and the older song ‘People’, another highlight. The very last song of the evening was Death of the West’ (when Douglas returned to the stage again to do this song he said ‘I’m sorry, I forgot this one”). When he thanked the public he also said something which could be interpreted as this being the last European tour for Death In June…"
Sounds like a great show to see... you'll enjoy just listening to it. Here's the song list;

Till The Living Flesh Is Burned
Death Of A Man
C'est Un Rêve
Ku Ku Ku
She Said Destroy
Smashed To Bits (In The Peace Of The Night)
All Pigs Must Die
Luther's Army

Little Black Angel
Fields Of Rape

But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter?
The Enemy Within

Coil Live at Il Violino & La Selce - Fano, Italy

Set in a stunning medieval fortress in Fano in the Marche region of Italy, Coil is featured here live as part of the Il Violino e la Selce annual music festival. This was Coil's second trip to Italy during 2002. A concert in Bologna Italy two months earlier ultimately found its way on to the classic Coil live release "Live Three".

There is no cover art that I am aware of. Have fun making your own, I know I did.
Track listing... (thanks for the help Mr. Anonymous)

NIGHTMOVES - Death In June Live In Glasgow - 1983

Between 1980 and 1984, EYAS Media (Patrick Leagas label) released eight cassette tapes of the Death In June's music. Some of this music has appeared on officially sanctioned Death In June releases (i.e. the EYAS Media release "Archive" and "Living Room" became "The Phoenix Has Risen", and the 2006 CD/DVD reissue of "The Guilty Have No Pride" came with the bonus DVD of material that was originally on the EYAS Media release "Live At the Fridge")
NIGHTMOVES was recorded live in Glasgow on Novemeber 14th, 1983. More than likely the line up for this event was Douglas P. (vocals, guitar, drums, keyboards), Patrick Leagas (vocals, drums, drum machine, keyboards, trumpet) and Richard Butler (keyboards). I am pretty sure that given the fact that this concert took place in November that Tony Wakeford had already left the band. This makes for a couple of interesting takes on a few songs. The Keyboard effects through the intro are an interesting twist, as is the slow, lumbering version of "Holy Water".
The sound quality of this tape is good for a "bootleg".
Get it here.

Death In June - Live In Japan

Live in Japan was a single sided LP recorded live at the Loft Club, in Tokyo, December 19th, 1988. The Death In June Archive page at Brainwashed states;
"This LP was intended as an official release, but is now considered semi-official due to the label turning into rip-off artists. The tracks did not end up as Douglas P. intended, and neither did the cover. "
I have to agree about the cover...

The personnel on the LP was Douglas P., David Tibet, Rose McDowall. If you know your apocalyptic folk history this concert may be of particular interest. This show, recorded on the 19th of December and was a double bill with both Sol Invictus and Death In June sharing the headline. The next two nights featured Current 93 as the headliner. Several of the tracks from the Current 93 show ended up on the free single that came with the Earth Covers Earth LP. Current 93's line up on the second two nights was, obviously, David Tibet, Rose McDowall, Douglas P., and Tony Wakeford. Another point of interest about this show is that it, and another appearance at the Loft Club on the 30th of December, were Death In June's only live appearance for 1988. There was also no major releases by Death In June in 1988.

Death In June - Only Europa Knows

This concert bootleg is interesting because it is often credited as Death In June/Death In June Presents KAPO! live. Recorded live at t'Syndrom, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, 12/21/96. This concert features Richard Leviathan (Strength Through Joy, Ostara, Forestra De Ferro). Leviathan and Pearce recorded the "KAPO!" album together in 1996.

I found this write up about the CD at Funprox.com
This is a semi-official live album, authorized by Death in June. It is a registration of a concert in Belgium, at ‘t Syndroom in Sint-Niklaas on February 21, 1996. The concert was part of the Kapo! tour. Kapo! was a collaboration of Douglas P. and Richard Leviathan. This cd contains 17 tracks, with most of the material of the Kapo! album, as well as many Death in June classics. On the menu are ‘Symbols of the Sun’, ‘Rose Clouds of Holocaust’, ‘Fall apart’, ‘Luther’s Army’, ‘Runes and Men’, ‘C’est un reve’ and many more. In this period Death in June sounded rather martial, with dominant, powerful drums. The sound quality is fairly decent, though the vocals are a bit in the background at times. It is a nice sound document, which I like perhaps even more than the official “Heilige!” live album.
I like "Heilige!" better, but this recording is still great.
