I have been enjoying the new Dan Sartain record this week. Clocks in under 20 minutes but is good nonetheless. There is some filler but the best tracks (Swap Meet, Indian Massacre) are damn catchy, Ramones inspired punk at its best.

I personally like everything up to Flow Motion, at which I percieve things to get a bit spotty. There are many bootlegs online from various years, not sure how much will overlap with this official set, sounds like it might be all new, but who knows? Dig deep! |

I frankly wasn't into it. My boyfriend was all over it last week, but I didn't hear anything that particularly caught my fancy. Not bad but not good and way too reliant on nostalgia. |

You should by Tago Mago, Future Days, Ege Bamyasi and Soundtracks. All of them are excellent albums. I found Can about ten years ago accidently when I was trying to find band formed by two guys who left Kraftwerk (which really was Neu, but at the moment I couldn't remember the correct name). |

Sun Araw's new collaboration with the congos is pretty rad. It's basically Sun Araw laying down these weird space dub beats and sounds with congos providing vocals. The sounds Sun Araw makes are really interesting, they vary so much. It's a cool record, it has really nice vibes to it. This is my personal favourite track from the record http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oox_24v3B0c

and this:
Jimmy Page's early 70's avant/prog unused soundtrack for legendary occult movie on one side and some related tracks on the flipside, 1st time officially released, available only thru his newish website, vinyl only. I've heard some bootleg extracts which are kinda cool and kinda spotty, still curious about this. Va Va Va Doom! (maybe more proto-goth actually). Different from the Bobby Beausoleil soundtrack actually used on the film which was released as a deluxe multi-disc package w/ extras a while ago, which had it's moments. |
