snowing sun is a pretty good album. seems like it's missing something though.. the mix is really empty. didn't like their other album at all.

yes ive heard protopunk, but that makes more sense, because punk could not have ocurred before the kingsmen, mc5, stooges, the velvets, the godz, etc.. but noise is just noise, its sound as music. it cant be 'somewhat' noise, but it can be noisey, complicated idea. anyhow, noise just came about because people started experimenting with sound and atonality, there was no proto noise.

The last one u're talking about is objectively less interesting though quite good imo

OH, actually, ahleuchatistas reminds me a lot of a less crazy version of the band YOWIE.

YOWIE is by far the craziest "math rock" band you'll ever hear... um...

yes yowie is fantastic, as is a good number of the skin graft roster when it comes to noisey aggressive math rock. i would check out dazzling killmen and yowie next.

thinking fellers is one of of the best ever.
