I'm on season 9 of X-Files myself, and boy is it depressing. Five's amazing though, one of the best ones.
Watching Simpsons for the first time ever. Little over half-way though season one. Pretty good.

Weird, I just finished season 9 by the x-files last week. And it was terrible. That show really went to shit.

Watched a madmen my parents saved on the dvr for me.
Now: Forgot to post about season 3 on here, but this season and that one are filled with episodes I k now like the back of my hand. I've grown up with them, always enjoyed them, and continue to do so on new levels everytime. In my mind, The Simpsons is the best comedy series, ever. Animated or otherwise.

The last couple episodes I watched were "KillSwitch" which was one of the ones written by Willam Gibson, and "Bad Blood". A very funny episode. Some viewers say "The X-Files" had too many funny episodes towards the end of the show, but most of those were written by Vince Gilligan, so they were always great.

Along with (re)watching "The X-Files" I've been using Netflix instant watch to watch "Kolchak:The Night Stalker", which was the inspiration for "The X-Files". I quite like that show as well.

Adult Swim was pretty neat back in 2002-2003 or whatever. The anime they showed then was good stuff. Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam 0083, whatever else.
Finished the first season of The Simpsons today. First time ever watching it. Um, it's a good show, I like it quite a bit. But I don't really think it's very funny. Not that it's a big deal because the episodes are still fun to watch. I just don't laugh very much at it. I can see it's appeal, I don't know about a 21 season long appeal, but I certainly see how it became so iconic. And I hate Family Guy several more magnitudes now because I hadn't really realized how blantantly it's taken cues from The Simpsons. Though The Simpsons isn't immune from this either, it follows (albeit quite vaguely) in the footsteps of Wait Till Your Father Gets Home. At this point though I think Futurama is the better show. But whatever, The Simpsons are cool.

Alan that's weird, I've just started to watch season 4. I did a marathon of season 5 and 6 in the past few days and am now moving onto 4. Definitely my favourite show... ever. |

Haha yeah, you don't know how much trouble I'd get into when I told people I had never watched the show. I'd get plenty of those obvious "YOU'VE NEVER WATCHED THE SIMPSONS?!?!" outbursts. Before my actual sitting down and watching the show, I'd seen three episodes, and only one of those a full episode. The first was Homerpalooza, and this one episode where I think Lisa and this school superintendent walk into a room and this little kid calls him Super Nintendo instead. And this one a friend made me watch so I could see Homer sing The Doors' The End. But my mom just never let me and my sister watch it as kids. Though we got away with watching much more vulgar tv I think like Ren and Stimpy and violent movies. I watched the first episode of season 2 yesterday. Still good. Strangely my preferred moments aren't even the funny ones. Like my favorite moment of the show yet is when Bart is crying over failing his history test, and he's gushing about how hard he really tried and still failed. I really liked that. I wish they had capitalized more on Homer's spontaneous lightning brief violent outbursts against Bart, those were hilarious. He doesn't really do that now.

It gets EXTREMELY good when 3 season starts. It sort of remains consistent until about season 10.
