I had no idea it was another of this type of film until i was watching it. This one was pretty tame compared to the Grudge and ring but still good even though some scenes could have easily been mistaken for a part out of any of the aformentioned. |

Pulp Fiction's pretty cool, yeah. The only Tarantino I love is his remake of City on Fire.

I watched PERVERSE PREACHERS, FACIST FUNDAMENTALISTS, AND KOOKY KRISTIANS... 2 hours of clips of bizarre Christian television shows, ads, and preachings. Probably the funniest thing ever. 10/10.

I watched Aladdin last night while hanging with my girlfriend (At her request). First time I've seen in it a LONG time. What's crazy is while watching it, it all seemed vaguely familiar, and slowly I started to remember it all. A fun feeling.
EDIT: I also must add that I thought The Hangover was hilarious and probably (I think) will end up being the funniest movie of the year. And also add me to the "Pulp Fiction is overrated" group. ~Jeremy~

5/10 It had its moments, but this was too much of a "series of wacky misadventures" movie... not my thing.

Didn't care for Wassup Rockers at all. Don't really like Larry Clark though. (Bully's decent)

The suits are lifted from A Better Tomorrow II... Tarantino has publicly acknowledged the influence of John Woo, but has casually left out the contributions of Ringo Lam. As a matter of fact, when the "homage" was exposed by Mike White's "Who Do You Think You're Fooling," MTV quoted Tarantino as saying, "He's dying to see the Hong Kong original". I say he watched it on the playback monitor of the set of "Reservoir Dogs." But like any thief, Tarantino changes his story often: "I loved CITY ON FIRE, I got the poster framed in my house, so it's a great movie." - Quentin Tarantino, Film Threat, Issue 18, pg. 23. "I've got the poster right here. That's Danny Lee. Ringo Lam is like my second, after Jackie Chan, third favorite of all the Hong Kong directors." - Quentin Tarantino,The Village Voice 10/25/94 No. 43, pg. 31. ..... I just love how at first he said he'd never seen the film but now, Ringo Lam gets part of the writing credits now after the word "lawsuit" was brought up.... well... At least Tarantino likes good directors.. John Woo, DePalma, Scorcese, Johnny To, Takeshi Kitano, etc. But hell, Eli Roth has good tastes in movies and his films suck too. |

Adam, remember the Power Rangers fighting game? Forget the title. But y'know, the obligatory SF2 ripoff one? It was kind of fun.
