The Shadow Ring - Remains Unchanged.
The guy at the Penultimate Press stall gave me a nice discount as well, threw in this (Millows by Graham Lambkin - a book with an accompanying CD) for an extra £2.50. Good shopping. See for yourself

Just got these, La Strega... never showed up on the Forced Exposure site, so I just got it on discogs.com from a US seller, later saw some at the Amoeba store. It is my favorite of the two, two long pieces on the A side and covers on the B side, including some of my favorite Brittish folk and folk-rock songs. I am already a fan of that material, it was awesome to hear Dylan cover them. Since no one else seems to mention that kind of stuff here, here are links to some of the originals, or as one is traditional, the sources Dylan likely heard them from. Reynardine (Traditional): Fairport Convention: http://youtu.be/O3RMut_8IxQ Anne Briggs: http://youtu.be/zf4Va2Leutc Shirley Collins & Davy Graham:http://youtu.be/kZ9zO15Mw-c Night Comes In (Richard Thompson): Richard Thompson, Live, 1975: http://youtu.be/qrhMTd1SXPc This one I hadn't heard before, but sounds cool: Little Woman (Dave Mason): Mr. Fox: http://youtu.be/jTc6IdyXuoo Dave Mason with Family: http://youtu.be/URu1d6bgaPY I'll let you find the Kinks and PJ Harvey songs on your own... The double 7inch was less engaging to me, ambient guitar playing with spoken word. Glad there is a second disc with instrumentals. |

Got a few today.
Wicked Lady - The Axeman Cometh (holy fuck is this incredible) Northern Haze - Sinnaktuk (arctic-circle Inuit garage metal, anyone?) Jerusalem - S/T (1972 UK heavy rock LP produced by Ian Gillan) and I aso bought a used copy of Thunderbolt Pagoda's "Second Ascension" because it was there and cheap and I don't have very many left) |

Yeah, as far as I know they really are. I am going to pick up the second volume of these recordings ASAP. Pricey, but double albums and very nicely done.
TP are recording in February with the same great engineer who did the last one. Plus this time we can cut our own master lacquers at our studio thanks to my bandmate Ralph and our engineer friend Bobby's efforts at getting Ralph's cutting lathe back up (and beyond) industry standards. Cover art by none other than Nefeli also! |

A very expensive Amazon.jp order, but brand new and sealed and you can't get these anywhere else.
