eat skull - good
pink reason - very good abe vigoda - meh psychedelic horseshit - good times new viking - good no age - very unremarkable women - only saw them play for about 20 minutes; it was OK but I don't have much desire to check out their records after that. vivian girls - good, but don't believe the hype mika miko - alright ponytail - meh |

I've never heard Abe Vigoda, No Age, or Ponytail, but all the rest I like quite a lot. |

I doubt it was a conscious decision, since he records and composes everything by himself, anyway. |

This thread reminded me (okay, no it didn't but it was the only one bumped at the moment) that I found something I saved from when someone hacked the pitchforkmedia advertising editor's message board. It was great, somebody hacked into and print-screened like 50 emails, including ones where the editors were taking money for good reviews and shit... there was one where the arcade fire's record company said that pitchfork had to give em a good review and in return they'd spend a bunch of extra money on ads and all this shit. It was priceless. Anyway, the best part was that the dude was cheating on his wife or girlfriend or something and there was this whole big thing about it. Most entertaining thread ever, wish I could find it. Here's a print screen though, the only one I saved from the thread...

Ponytail were probably my record of the year. Yup.
Why does no one ever bring up Naked On The Vague? They're siltbreeze babies too, just from another country. And easily better than most of the others...
