curvoisier is what rappers drink yes? then no. this winter i'm drinking napoléon brandy, $11 /bottle at total wine. tasty and a bit "wild", not ultrasmoth, but it's the best value in distilled + aged grape juice. check it out. if you want something reeeeally good then cardenal de mendoza brandy de jerez will knock your socks off. no hype or gold chains. also drinking: wild turkey rye. also, sweet vermouth (various kinds) also, manhattans (obvious combo). also, i plunked some summer fuit into jars of everclear and now it's about time for the big reveal. oh, and calvados! calvados rules. ahhhh....! that explains your superior food culture. i have a hard time thinking of you as a tejano. i live near (well, a few hundred miles) west texas-- oy! ever been to amarillo? there's nothing to eat there! and the town (literally) stinks (there's a massive feedlot on the edge of town). i know east & west texas are very different-- and i know you're in or near the gulf & all-- but louisiana is food heaven. i have a lousianian friend in this state, and her parties are just out of this planet. |

I got a microphone as a present from my brother.
I ate lots of traditional cabbage soup. A nice Christmas this has been. Except for THERE'S NO FUCKING SNOW IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY. I look out the window and see the spring.

Courvoisier is literally the congac that Napoleon personally drank, indeed he is on the bottle! If you seriously like brandy you should try some congac, its just distilled brandy. ...

no, cognac is just an AOC for a type of brandy. like roquefort and blue cheese. i've drunk all kinds of cognacs and brandies but i'm smart with my money, hence, i pay $11/bottle. |

Cognac is twice distilled, most brandy wines are only single distilled, and cognac is aged longer in different kinds of barrels. Its not quite just a matter of origin, as say agave and tequilla which are literally the same drink. Cognac is made slightly different than brandy, hence the enormous difference in price. The $11 cognac is about a third the size of the $11 brandy bottle. But i totally know what you mean, i switched to beer because im not making that rap money. I sometimes drink some Presidente Brandy which is also $11

oh, damn-- luckee-- enjoy it, then! for every day though, try the napoleon brandy. definitely *not* some masterpiece of taste, but it's something you can drink without guilt on a wednesday, after a dinner of hamburger helper, ha ha. or for whatever use (cooking, mixing. etc.). really good value. |

oh ha ha-- check it out, here it be-- they have several stores in CA i don't know which is closer to you:
http://www.totalwine.com/eng/product...andy/108401750 now i don't now if it's "chatelle" or "napoleon". also, my label has the words reversed (chatelle int he red, napoleon on the center of the label) regardless of name-- it is good enough, and it's cheaper than a ratty vodka so you will never be afraid to set it on fire or add it to a chicken stew. A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. seriously, the market will catch up and the price will go up. buy cheap, buy twice! |

Hope y'all motherfuckers had a nice one. Sounds like some of you had a peaceful night...which is good. Merry Christmas.
This Christmas was a bit different. At the end of the night I wasn't happy(and no...no because of the gifts)....but It was still pretty awesome. I spent the Christmas at my parent's new house(like 25 miles SW of Chicago....UGHHHH! but it's huge and nice)...But actual Christmas day was spent working then with my girlfriend. We got a room downtown right next to the lake. Spent it together....got some Japanese food...then...I tied her up n yeah.... But then the exhange of gifts...(I got her a sailor moon cat pillow and some pagan symbol necklace and a turqoise ring...nothign crazy expensive). Buuuut she got me a PSfucking4! WTF. and a juche cassette |
