Ah, you protest too much. I think she's alright. It's a good pop album. And it makes a change from the usual anodyne girl-pop sludge regurgitated out by a Uk music industry more obsessed by celebrity, image and looks than ability. Mind you some of the comments on here about her looks are a bit lame - to paraphrase - she's crap cos (you think) she looks ugly. Hmm, right on boys....

to clarify, i think i've heard gossip about it like once, and her video like half times.
it's the music, so consciously and forcely trying to be 60's r&b/motown/phil spector, like trying to make a new trend, along with the pipettes, kinda like ten years ago with the neo swing bands. her voice is awful, her music is crappy and derivative and the songs are not catchy. but there's a double standard, of course, i bet half the people who like her here wouldn't like her if she was younger, didn't have tattoos and didn't have ghostface rapping on one song. i much much much much rather listen to avril lavigne and lilly allen, i like their songs a whole lot more. the other day, i heard a song on the disney channel for a movie about some kids jumping rope and the song was amazing. |

noone rapping on the album i have, and i wouldn't buy another album of hers, got nothing to do about the tatts and age. i wouldn't even know what she looked like except for the album cover. |

'Rehab' is an awful fucking song. She literally sounds like she's gargling shit or singing with cotton stuffed in her cheeks.
Next time don't try SO hard Amy. Less can be more. |

When her album came out, all the record stores and websites were totally pushing it.
So it can't be that great, I'm guessing. |

Hey, I'm glad there's finally something that most of us can readily agree on.
Many "critics" are currently creaming themselves over the Sharon Jones new one because the Dap-Kings play on it too. Years ago there was this band called (after the Horace Silver album and song) The Jody Grind http://www.kellyhogan.com/bands/grind/ that did this type of thing hundreds of times better. They were based in the Athens/Atlanta area, but singer Kelly Hogan relocated to Chicago. Now there's some other unrelated band called The Jody Grind from Boston. |

I used to think amy winehouse was so hot, then she gor crack-rocked out and meth-ed out and sporting prison tattoos.
she use dto be so foxy. what she should do, but it does not sell, is make a straight jazz album.

Try speaking the chorus of "Rehab" in a Geordie accent... do it... it brings joy.
