You know who Redinho reminds me of? It reminds me of this guy I used to love, IDM dude Eight Frozen Modules. Yeah, yeah, he's more IDM (and when I say "IDM", I mean "the absolute most insanely complex IDM ever made"), but his choice of sounds and stuff really resembles this Redinho guy. I love Redinho though btw. Needs more listeners for sure!!

Eh, I don't know what makes me love Rustie so much. I just find it amazing how he manages to do something that catches me so much, while the drums are so loose and sparse, the sounds so weird (sometimes they're almost abstract), the melodies most of the time too fucking frenetic to be even remembered properly. I love this epileptic bleepy kind of music. To each their own obviously. I used to hate him, finding him terrible, then Zig Zag and Bad Science clicked on me and I've been loving him a lot since then. I can see why you wouldn't like him though, but it was personally one of the records I was expecting the most this year. Neko, Hyperthrust, Dragonfly and Beast Nite have all been favorites of mine for a while, getting dropped by DJs in loads of mixes, so it's awesome to hear they're gonna have a proper release, and on Warp Records on top of it.

Also, I must have said it 200,000 times by now, but his remix on Zomby's Spliff Dub is one of my favorite tracks ever and proabbly my favorite wonky tune.

Here are some great Rustie tunes if you want to hear proper tracks from him... He's definitely one of the most original sounding producers out there if you ask me. And one of the most interesting, as you may have guessed from my enthusiasm (judging from the 116 people who "liked" the news on facebook in just an hour, I'm not the only one...)
Rustie - Bad Science Rustie - Zig Zag Rustie - Shadow Enter Rustie - Inside Pikachu's Cunt Zomby - Spliff Dub (Rustie Remix) Joker & Rustie - Play Doe |

adam, you should check out peverelist's "jarvik mindstates" ep, i think you'd enjoy it. it actually kind of reminds me of zomby because it's so drugged. super hypnotic and weird stuff. Really enjoying it.
Also, I'll give the Guido album another listen because I love his "Chakra" track - which is not on the album, unfortunately. Oh, and Joker's mix on Mary Anne Hobbs' was fucking ridiculous. He fucking played the "Final Zone theme" from Sonic 2 and Gemmy's remix of "Aquatic Ruin" from the very same game. Mad stuff. |

6th post in a row to say that I take back anything I've said on Guido's Anidea. I'm having a lot of fun with it right now. Beautiful Complication and Mad Sax are excellent. Though nothing on it reaches the awesomeness that is "Chakra".

FOX, check out ooah - the goods, which came out in 2009. Fucking badass. It's got kinda a dubstep sound, but also kinda a glitch-hop thing going on... but it sounds completely unique too... has some epic songs on it, too.. 9 minutes long, never lets up. fucking badass..
