Like, the first four songs still hold up, but of those only High & Dry really sounds timeless. And even if sounds dated, though it’s amazing. Street Spirit (Fade Out) sounds the most like future Radiohead.
I dunno. No hate on the bends but as time goes by it sounds more and more like embryonic Radiohead in comparison to the albums that I listen to most, which are probably Hail to the Thief and In Rainbows. |

It was a big deal when it came out. Critically and within the UK mainstream/indie crossever realm |

Here in the States, it led to them opening for REM on the Monster tour. It’s the only time I’ve seen Radiohead......and they pretty much played the album: September 1995 My Iron Lung High and Dry Planet Telex Anyone Can Play Guitar Just Street Spirit (Fade Out) Creep Fake Plastic Trees The Bends Side A is classic and a direct catalyst for, Ok Computer and Airbag / How Am I Driving? |

I remember. Hah. That’s the album that got me into Radiohead and it was my favorite album of all time throughout much of junior high and high school. |
