So you're just as likely to get attacked in the street by a load of My Chemical Romance fans as you are by anyone else? I respectfully have to disagree. |

Huh? Yeah, probably. Who knows? You can't judge a person's character by their appearance.

I'm not sure what the likelihood of "getting attacked" is period, but a lot of the so-called "emo kids" are 14-year-old hooligans just like everyone else, so regardless of what they look like I'm sure, yeah, they might cause some trouble.

In essence you're right, but from pure experience I've never seen a group of emo-kids harrassing homosexuals, beating someone up because of the colour of their skin or terrorise a housing estate. Or maybe I've just been lucky.

You've probably been lucky.
I see "emo kids" coming into the place where I work (a grocery store) and causing all kinds of havoc and tearing shit up and just acting like assholes to everyone all the time. Not really any better or worse than any other "groups" of people and I'm not going to say that all "Emo kids" are bad. Just.. you know.. they're not any better either, from my experience. |

Well I can't argue with your own experience of them, so fair enough I suppose.

Oh god I remember this thread. I always thought this had more to do with cracking down on effeminate men in tight jeans than any musical 'cult'.

wild, with all the corruption and evil in Russia they focus on the kids. How familiar.
One of my friends who teaches in NYC public schools tells me this year skateboarding is the big trend with kids (finally, something they get from whitey!), so expect to hear about the horrible skateboarders soon. |

Hmmm I missed this I guess.
Emo kids are silly looking. The old news is simultaneously funny and scary (I guess Russia's not through with totalitarianism.) |
