if you can't see me listen out for, again, "holy shit it's sonic fucking youth" or something like "i'm an indie bitch". i tend to say things like that.

He was totally cool in DC. I got to shake his hand and talk about the new album for about 15 seconds. I understand his haste though...they were playing a second show that night. If you find him before/after the show I'm sure he'd be cool with a pic.

im deciding whether i should just go to the show and go home or stay at a hotel. i live over in jersey so im just driving and taking a train. i'd really like to stay at a hotel and not worry about getting home until later.
where is everyone else staying? (if they're from out of the area) |

I live in Jersey too, the northern whereabouts (Sussex county) and since the show has to be over by around 10 anyway, I don't see why you wouldn't take the train home. A hotel would be way too much. My friends and I usually just drive to hoboken and take the PATH into the city.

you can get a hotel for around 100 bucks in lic, in that queens plaza/sunnyside area. its a pretty good deal considering youre one subway stop from manhattan.

Hey guys. Im usually a msg board lurker and have lurked here a bit. I cant seem to find an answer to this anywhere though.
Is SY playing Daydream Nation at this show, or is it just a regular show? I saw one listing that said Daydream Nation, Brooklyn 7/28 6pm, then the regular show starts at 8pm? Sorta confused here. If anyone could clarify that would be awesome. |

with all due respect, sonic youth can't handle playing for more than 2 hours.
