i watched it on a movie theater, an old school movie theater!
it followed fando y liz. anyhoo, i think it's relatively easy to find on vhs; i saw a pirate dvd version not too long ago, selling in the streets. |

I love Bad Lieutenant but think the version with the Schoolly D song Signifying Rapper on the soundtrack (sometimes shown on TV over here) is superior to the version available on DVD (which it had to be taken off): for me, it makes a big difference but it's nonetheless brilliant.
I wish Naked was available on DVD, I love the dialogue (monologues?) in that film... shame about the caricature-yuppie guy in it though! I'll just name some random films that I love and haven't been mentioned: Assassination Of Richard Nixon, Betty Blue, Blue Velvet, Brother, Christiane F, Django, Django Kill, Julien Donkey-Boy, Last Days, Mean Streets, Midnight Cowboy, Repulsion, Rivers Edge, Slacker, Sonatine, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and loads of early Woody Allen films (the surreal, slapstick ones like Bananas). |

I got Santa Sangre on DVD at a convention in Florida for $5. It was a copy of a version released in England or something. It's really easy to find, check ebay or something.
The version of have of Bad Lieutenant has the rapper rapping over Kashmir. Glad someone mentioned Six String Samurai and Hudson Hawk -- amazing films. I hate Julien Donkey-Boy. HATE. If you want something in a similiar style that's way better, get Period Piece.... |

i know im going to get shit for this, but i think judd apatow's crew's comedies are fucking amazing.
freaks and geeks and undeclared were two of the funniest sitcoms ever, and testament to the average american's stupidity considering how fast they got canned, when a show like friends can run for what, 11 years? then we got the 40 year old virgin, knocked up, and superbad, all of which had me in tears laughing. i just saw forgetting sarah marshall, almost equally hilarious. even dewey cox, which a lotta people hated, i thought was fucking hilarious (especially the brian wilson acid/pcp sequences when hes trying to create his "masterpiece" ala "smile"). i think theres few things in this world better than a good laugh, when your just uncontrollalby laughing and you got tears and all that, its a great feeling. and these movies are probably the only mainstream movies in the past 3 years which have done that to me.
