It would be nice to up covers that are mentioned in this thread, and make a mixtape?

I'm not familar with Buck 65. But I'll put money on it being a cover of Roxy Music. Much too uncommon of a song title to be repeated. If you catch my drift... From this album, if you're curious: |

On the '26 Mixes for Cash' LP, I love the two Aphex Twin mixes of tunes by the Nav Katze. But I've never heard the Nav Katze, so I don't know how dismantled they are.

Swans - Love Will Tear Us Apart (Jarboe version) - the track consists only of Jarboe vocals and keyboard playing the main riff
Tarwater's version of Swans The Miracle Of Love is also pretty interesting

The Cardigans did a cover of Black Sabbath's Iron man that is amazingly sweet.

Whilst Devo's version was excellent. Glice mentioned soft cell's version of 'tainted love' - personally i prefer coil's version. and what about einsturzende neubauten's cover of 'je t'aime' on the 'kollaps' album?

My favorite album/EP of live covcers is the Firehose LIVE TOTEM POLE EP
they do Slack Motherfucker, The Red & The Black, Revolution (the butthole surfers one), Sophisticated Bitch (public enemy) their cover of slack motherfucker is the single greatest cover of anything by anyone of all time.
