Interestingly my summer soundtrack turned out be GHQ. I've recorded them a bunch of times and I just seem to put those gigs and then the 1st 3lobed Cd and the 3lobed box set CD on the cd changer and just let them run. I've started picking up their older CDrs off ebay which I never do.

I've been on an industrial kick lately, listening to some stuff that's been off my radar for the last 15 years, like Pigface, Skinny Puppy, Revoting Cocks.

At the moment I'm digging an ambient / drone + field recordings guy called Hakobune, and I'm finding more and more pseudonymous stuff by Peter Wright, who I've actually been digging for quite some time already.

It's a bunch of shit noise. I hate it. (Even though I have a copy.) There's nothing like the original Exile, though. The Stones at their peak.

of course its not like the original, thats the point. a shit noise version of exile on main street, just like pussy galore are at thier essence a shit noise version of the stones at thier most blues rockingest, and that record is great as a novelty for most, and an excellent listen for others (like me). i dont mind that you dont like the record, but i think youre sorta missing the point of pussy galore. watevs though, to each thier own.

It is possible to "get the point" and still come to the conclusion that a piece of music or art is irritating and unenjoyable.

agreed. I have EXILE (the PG version) and it makes me cringe. But I wouldnt get rid of it, either. It's something I like having in my collection. |
