They're headed that way from what I saw from them today.
I talked to a couple of friends and both they seem to think beating Xavier is nothing, but, I saw some serious heart & talent today. I can't see any team (on their side of the bracket) ending this for them other than NC or GTWN, possibly TENN, I suppose. |

I don't know too much about them but have a friend from Columbus who supports them so I have a weird interest in knowing how they do.

Go Lady Terps!!!
All in all today was a great day of college hoops....tons of great games. It seemed like down the stretch Gary Williams didn't even have Mike Jones (who was hot as hell) on the court the whole the time. Hello Gary, guard play wins in the tournament and Jones is our best/only pure shooter!!! He was 5 of 6 from deep and should have shot the three AT LEAST 10 threes. Strawberry played pretty crappy too which really hurt us ( 3 of 10 from the field and 5 turnovers). VCU and Xavier showed HEART today!!! More glorious games tomorrow.....Virginia and Tennessee should be really good. I have Virginia. Also, Vah Tech and So. Illinois.

I would love if my own Cavs could win with their mighty D, but the Vols are too relentless, I think. That's who I went with anyway.
Sure hope it doesn't turn out to be an "o ye of little faith" scenario. |

I think Virgina is a really good team and their new coach has really sparked something in those guys that I don't think I've ever seen out of a Virginia basketball team.

They seem to be peaking right now. It could happen. I hope it does; I just think it probably won't.

Wow, in a wild & wacky moment, Singletary muffs the rebound, but as he falls, he rolls it over to Jones who scoops it up for a jumper. If Reynolds can turn it on again, the Cavs can win this.

Ohio State is turning heads and still getting it done.
You gotta love this team! I originally had them in the championship losing to Florida, but changed everything around with my second guessing. That could potentially cost me. I have UCLA winning the current game which probably isn't going to happen considering what they've shown and that Kansas has been playing both sides of the ball so well. Even though they did win, the Jayhawks didn't look so hot in their first game coming off the break though against Texas A&M to beat them by only one point. Then again, I had the Aggies as a final four team this year (after I changed my bracket like a goofball), so they are tough. |

My Tar Heels went down by going limp in OT. So, I failed to wrap it up there.
I had OH ST and changed it to TX A&M for the final four...doh! That was another goof. If Ohio State wins their final four match-up against Georgetown, and Florida loses to UCLA, then Jenn wins. If Ohio State loses to Georgetown, and Florida beats UCLA, then I win. If Ohio State beats Georgetown, and Florida beats UCLA and then goes on to win against Ohio State in the championship, then I win. I, for one, really like this year's Ohio State Buckeyes team as I've expressed in this thread. Ron Lewis is a clutch-daddy, and Mike Conley, Jr. seems to gracefully come up with new wunderkind moves with every game. Terwilliger from off the bench is holding his own well, and likeable but mega-superstitious Coach Matta is playing Oden just right. Where they sputtered before, they seem to be playing more consistently. Then again, the Florida Gators certainly seem as if they will most probably repeat. The team is solid. Joakim Noah isn't graceful, but he's probably the smartest man out on the floor. Taureen Green lighting it up and Humphrey being on fire is something I think we'll see again in the game against the Bruins. Although the Gators have been playing far-from-ideal games against passionate, talented opponents, they're still winning seemingly at will. If things continue to go as they have been, then Coach Donovan and his reigning champions will find a way in the end to win and repeat as champions. |

if UCLA wins, and Georgetown wins their final four game, then beats UCLA in the final, doesn't that mean i have enough points to win out? |

Well, those nefarious Hoyas may yet upset the apple cart.
Why did CBS have to tell me the tragic news about Jason Ray? Okay, so originally I pick all four final four teams. Then, I go and talk to this friend who convinces me that UNC is going to go this year, and since I've made errors before picking against my faves in other yahoo sports games, I go ahead and change it to UNC instead of GTWN. I also sentimentally consider the ceremony this year for Dean Smith and that Jordan attended in my second guessing. The same guy also tells me TX A&M are getting in and I take his advice on that and short OH ST. (This guy is betting on something all the time...and always in the black). I can't beieve I let my own cluelessness stand in the way of picking all four teams haha. I've had bizarro luck in the past by winning ncaa bracket games for three different years, beating out two different basketball sportswriters, a basketball coach, and several others that know far more about that season's ncaa tourney hopefuls that I do. But, anyhow, everyone has a bracket story of the one that got away, so sorry if that was goofy. The news about the Tar Heels mascot has got me way down. And I'm not feeling very lucky. |
