It's actually quite fascinating reading people's lists. I never realised we had so many Nickleback fans here. A genuine eye-opener!

I loved the way their keyboardist acted as rock and roll as possible whenever they were on TotP. There really is something rather hilarious about watching a man trying to be Pete Townsend while playing a Korg M1.

They made a really good LP. In all probability, that is precisely one really good LP more than I will ever make.

What a sobering thought, to recognise that EMF will have contributed more to the cultural landscape than most of us could even dream of. Even more depressing when one applies the same logic to a band like Ocean Colour Scene. Good lord, I just made myself shudder! |

Done. I know that two of my choices will get votes from others, and one of them will definitely be in the top ten.

A true story this: I used to play through a big fuck off bass cabinet in the 90s that was stolen from James (not by me, I hasten to add). It even had their name stencilled on the side. I actually loaned it to Lou Barlow during one of Sebadoh's UK tours, which sort of makes him an accessory to the crime too. Justice was eventually done I suppose when it caught fire during a rehearsal. Spooky but true.
