I just spent the last two hours listening to Blasphuphmus Radio -aka- Mr. Austin Rich spin two hours of Thanksgiving Recipes consisting of “leftovers” from the recent Mini-Mutations TOUR of the PNW.

Live performances of:
Mark Hosler (Negativland)
Don Haugen
Mini-Mutations
......and a few others I’ll need to check on?

I was hanging on every note being played!
Notes = odd sounds, bleeps & bloops, repetitive females voice all mixed with lush keyboards and noise.

Why am I sucker for such sounds at 2am in the morning???

I was just listening to this yesterday after seeing “Where is my Mind?” used to possibly more brilliant effect in The Leftovers season 2 than in Fight Club.

Surfer was one of my first “weird” albums. Bought it around the time I picked up “Experimental Jet Set, Trash & No Star” and “Raw Powr.” Long story short, nothing was ever quite the same after that spending spree in — whatever it was.. 1995 or something.

It’s still my favorite Pixies record, though I think “Doolittle” probably works better as an album.
