Yes, Starbucks is piss, and I take it black.
EDIT: Coffee, that is...not Starbucks. |

soy is the most genetically engineered crop in the world, and it's fucking poisonous in its natural state-- that's why in asia they learned to ferment it, to remove the shit in it (that's why tofu & tempeh are mildly edible) however nowadays soy is everywhere, without fermentation for the most part, and adding estrogen to our bodies-- as if we didn't get enough already from plastic bottles-- and they tell you it's "good for your heart!" while it fucks up your endocrine balance-- it's a monsanto conspiracy, i tell you. ask for it with only half the water (yes, 50%) or "2 fingers". it's sufficient. make sure to start with a double shot. |

I wouldn't dare go into some superficial "hip" place like Starbucks but I did go in there once with my parents had a hot chocolate drink... it was awful, I don't think they realised there is supposed to be more to a hot chocolate than chocolate and water.

every food crop in all the entire world is
"genetically modified and engineered" every one. whether through actual genetic implants, or breeding. we grow not a SINGLE FOOD CROP that is as it is found in nature.

Isn't the story of its origins that American soldiers in Italy in WWII couldn't handle the espresso there and so they had to water it down? The name was meant to be an insult so the story goes. Don't know how true this is but I always think of the name as being derogatory. |

I find the signature base actually too rich but definately not watery.. The amount of water mixed in with all the cocoa powder is just enough to make a thick liquid, then you do half half. The only real possibility is that you've caught them at the top of a jug and they haven't stirred it. Ask for a signature hot chocolate 1/3 sig 2/3 breve if yr concerned about "thickness".

lol @ yr "i don't think they realised" though. How rude are you? How many hot chocolates do you make a day vs how many a barista does. I think they realise sbux recipes and trying to make customers what they ask for, provided they tell them it isn't what they thought...

or.. Ask for the signature i suggested there, and two or three scoops of dark mocha powder. You'll die of dark chocolatelyness imho.. But it'll be super strong and thicker.

why is shitfucks anymore superficial than any other business? and why wouldn't you dare go in it? and there isn't more to hot chocolate than chocolate and water, unless you're really fond of silicon dioxide or guar gum. do yrself a personal favour and get a real hot chocolate from jamaica, it's just chocolate and water(unless you want creme+sugar) and it's damn good |

Ate some delicious crab rangoon, recieved my paycheck a day early, and got to leave work an hour earlier than what was scheduled.
Vodka and cherry limeade soon to be consumed. Film festival in Statesboro tomorrow. In other words, I have nothing to complain about. |

my pops drove me to some small camping property he just go on the Russian River ten minutes from the playa in Monte Rio,
it was dirt cheap as its not zoned for a permanent structure, it is divinely gorgeous. red wood groves are delightfully indescribable when you come from Los Angeles.. then we drove down through sonoma to the coast at Bodega Bay.. fucking even more gorgeous. In LA we have the playa, and we even have divine cliff beaches, but nothing compares to Northern Cali coast.. we drove for hours but it was well worth the trip. one of my best days in a long time, and I live a good life full of miraculous days manyana I'm taking the BART into Frisco to see the Haight.. Golden Gate Park and go to the recently re-opened Palace of Fine Arts (it was fenced off when I was there last year)

jeezus man, i never ever have said "duh" to you, but for fucks sakes man, it is spectacularly obvious that plant and animal domestication has modified their genes-- everybody and their mother knows that-- i'm not talking about getting sweeter apples or creating nectarines or pluots or breeding fatter pigs. i'm talking about genetic engineering. that means that you insert strands of DNA into crops-- sometimes for beneficial effects sometimes for weird-ass shit. the problem is-- it's mostly weird-ass SHIT LIKE THIS. and it's not just hippies that give a shit about it http://www.ucsusa.org/food_and_agric...-soybeans.html suicide seeds? sure: http://www.greenpeace.org/internatio.../suicide-seeds the problem with those is that plasmids can spread to other crops and kill them too. so, please, let's not dismiss corporate crimes with obvious arguments about food domestication-- it's not the same. now, mind you, i'm not against genetic engineering per se-- i'm against the greedy fuckers who control the technology for pure profit regardless of consequences. and soybeans are a shit, shit crop. /end of rant with apologies |
