Hah so not much has changed then by the sounds of it. Are there many users here anymore? Do any old timers pop in still? Im doing fine enough, still painting and sometimes making music. Family is still a crumbly mess but thats family for you. I plan on taking my first grown up trip out of Oz to New York around november time which im pretty excited for. Know of any friendly NY SYGs?

I'm afraid I'm pregnant. Since a couple of weeks I have this enormous craving for pickles ...

I work 69-70 hours a week and somehow my company isn’t paying for the hours in excess of 40 that the Department of Labor requires for salaries workers who make less than $50k. Been trying to get an answer about WHY for weeks (is the company exempt? Am I a “creative professional” because I sometimes write editorials and design publications? Or are they just boning me?!)
Couldn’t make less sense if it was a ducking Drake lyric. M... fuckigggggrrrfugfug NO TIME! |

Nope, totally legal under US labor laws. Obama had a change policy going to take place regarding overtime pay for the lesser paid “admin and management”, who are really just workers with a title, eg McDonalds assistant managers, but that was killed by Trump.

Video of the incident obtained by Denver7 shows a man alleged to be the FBI agent dancing while surrounded by onlookers and then executing a backflip. During the flip, the gun appears to fly out of the man’s holster. The man in the video jumps to pick up the firearm and appears to fire the gun in the process. The man puts the gun back away in the back of his pants and holds up his hands as onlookers appear shocked and scared.
“When the agent retrieved his handgun, an unintended discharge occurred,” the release read. The agent was taken to Denver police headquarters and was released to an FBI supervisor. |

That last job was PR, man. I’m not sure I’m ready to go to the dark side. Not yet. Looking at communications jobs at colleges and universities, right now. It would be technically PR still, but some schools, as I’m sure you know, have some pretty good alumni and faculty publications that explore the goings-on in different departments. Having a background in academia might help, especially since I pretty much know I never want to be a full-on academic. Shit’s toxic, like House of Cards. But writing for and about an academic institution? I could get on board with that. Anyway it’s what my father did after 25 years in the daily newspaper grind, and he got a nice salary increase, better benefits, etc. Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s Sunday, and I’ve been working for seven days straight, so ... obviously I need to get to work. |

I’m having a lot of stomach problems lately.
Anyone ever feel like they’re going to have diarrhea that never comes? Just regular BMs that feel unsatisfactory and fail to relieve the fiery, roiling turmoil in your guts? |

pr is pr is pr but yeah who you work for makes a difference. hitting up alumni for donations and prospective victims for recruitment is not so satanic. there are also many “causes” some of which might be sympathetic to you. i’d only be wary of joining a nonprofit on the verge of a recession, as we have a heated up economy and labor shortages so the 10 year business cycle is about done at this point. does not necessarily have to be a huge one but usually donations take a haircut. then again in such circumstances colleges might redouble their fundraising efforts. don’t know. what’s a recession-proof business? anyway, best wishes yeah. don’t mean to freak you but i’d say it’s weird. take a couple hours off your workday & go get a checkup. bloodwork + pipe inspection + shitsamples maybe. you don’t have irish ancestry do you? fast food is garbage. you need to eat like a 35 year old, which means: healthier. i’ve got recipes. i’m lazy too so... fucking easy. but get yr pipes checked yeah. mario gotta look at that plumbing. |

It's very hard to find Radiohead songs on YouTube. They seem very vigilant about taking them down as soon as possible.

thing is celiac tends to cause obesity not weight loss? i dont think it’s well understood... not by me anyway ha ha ha. but the weight loss and gut upset dont have to be due to a common factor, though they could be. off the top of my head— you could have celiac and be hyperthyroid. or maybe you’re just constipated and malnourished due to poor choices? or maybe you got parasites at a taco truck. like i said, not a doctor, but why not get checked and make sure you’re well before seeking a better diet. i mean you can do both but if you have celiac for example it would be very specific dietary changes instead of trying to guess what’s good.. there are sooo many options, i’d go for a professional examination + labs instead of the internet and wild speculation. eta: i like internists better than gp’s but anybody who could order your labs would be a great start. |

gin & tonic season just started for me
HELLO BEEFEATER! unfortunately diet tonics are all i can handle right now, but schweppes and canada dry are both cheap and pretty tasty. schewppes is better and more quinine-bitter, canada dry is more like a 7-up but not bad, just easier for beginners i suppose. anyway it’s good! |
