After the Thurston/Kim split leaving a bad taste in my mouth, and my interests generally drifting away from free-form avant improv lately, Lee's band is the post-SY stuff I'm most interested i these days.

The rest of the acronyms were new songs. I can't say whether I liked them better than "Times & Tides" songs as the new songs are still kind of being developed. He told the full names of most of the new songs they played before they played them but I can't remember what they were exactly.

Thankfully the length of the set was perfectly justified for the band. The last time I had seen them was at Webster Hall in May of last year. Their set was way too short. And that was mostly because they were the opening band but still Lee should not have to fucking open for anyone.

Though I really wish they had played "Genetic" too.

how weird is that. I have the chance to see Kim, Lee (+Steve of course) and Thurston, all apart but in the same week. Is Hasselt a band night? I'm tempted to see Lee twice then (and skip T & K), Amsterdam indeed looks wonderful

Hasselt is a band night, according to the site of Kunstencentrum Belgie (in dutch): http://www.kunstencentrumbelgie.com/...analdoband.htm
According to the site, CLM will also play in Hasselt later this year.

The timing is kinda weird indeed. I'll go see Thurston at Trix and Lee & Steve a few days later in Hasselt. Really looking forward to that week already.

OK, just got my ticket for the Holland Festival. I'm very curious what it will be like. I hope audio taping is allowed, and I won't get kicked out if I bring my gear in. Lee, if you're reading this, do you perhaps know? The houserules of the venue say that written permission is required. But perhaps they just state that but don't really apply to it
