i've worn glasses for something like ten years. my vision is horrible. i want to get surgery, but the doctors have recommended that i wait until my mid-20s.

Nope. My eyesight matches an owls. Infravision is something I still have to perfect though.

lenses tire the eye chemically, they often feel dry and itch and the eyes get more sensitive to sunshine and strong light while the tiredness caused by glasses is more mechanical, I often feel like my eye muscles hurt.
I've been trying to get used to wearing none whenever i can again, to enjoy that inborn impressionist 'touch'. I also hear better without glasses/lenses except when talking to people. |

I used to have glasses, but that was to help me see up closer (I'm far-sighted)

don't need them. i did have glasses for a while when i was about 5-6 years old ("lazy eye") but i had eye surgery for that.
