The thing that's the coolest for me is the only band I've seen or know their whole catalog is SY. Hoping to be one of the lucky ones come Friday morning. I think I'm going to drive out if I get a ticket and see some more of this country. Maybe go through Cleveland and check out the R&R HOF. It seems fitting.

Hopefully getting tickets tomorrow up at Zia Records, let's hope I score some.
In a way it pisses me off how Las Vegas residents have to win a lottery to get tickets, but on the other hand I guess they realize most people attending are fly-ins. Still, I'm going to try my hardest to get two tickets tomorrow morning. ~Jeremy~

I hear you Evol. I just went to check it out and they're gone. I had to take Dad to library and the store and I forgot about the time, I get home and poof they're gone. Oh well guess I wasn't meant to go.
Hopefully Jeremy scores cause as a Vegas resident he deserves a ticket more than any outsider does.

I tried right on stroke of 12 and it was already sold out. Oh well, easy come easy go.
Im gonna guess scalpers will mark em up 100% at least. Price was too low for the demand, and that is a great line-up. |

Oh well you had to figure they were holding back at least a 1500 out of what 2000 seats for friends and relatives and workers.
On to the freebie at Prospect Park in Brooklyn NY anyone got a time for when this one starts as I haven't seen anything posted on this site. thanks

Thanks for the kind words chicka.
Thankfully, I was able to get tickets earlier after waiting in line, so needless to say I am very excited I didn't have to pay money for a hotel room in a city I already live in. Should be a wonderful concert. Sorry for the people who couldn't get tickets, it sold out FAST. For the people flying in, you're welcome to hang out at my apartment and drink Dr. Pepper. ~Jeremy~

ALRIGHT!!! that makes my day Jeremy. Really if it was my home town and I got shutout I can't imagine the fit I would have pitched. In my younger days I would have surely either forced my way in or got locked up attempting such a feat.

Sweet dude, I appreciate that a lot.
Yeah if I didn't walk out with tickets I would have been super pissed.... I was just really fortunate to get them, as apparently the other Zia had way more people. There were 22 people in line at the Zia Records I went to, so we all left with tickets. Apparently every LV resident showing interest went to the Zia on the other side of town and most of them left empty-handed. I guess luck was on my side today.... ~Jeremy~

Thanks Georgekrz for the info. Looks like there'll be more than a few lesbians on hand the night of the show. 3 Hours isn't going to be long enough. I hope that there aren't any absolute curfew hours in New York.

Yeah, but at least Matador asked Thinking Fellers if they wanted in, but the band turned it down.
Come is going to be cool to see, I wonder what the chances are of Helium doing this? ~Jeremy~

I would guess getting the 'classic' line-up of Helium back together may be difficult...

Well, I remember reading an interview with Ash around the time Polvo was about to release In Prism, and the interviewer asked that since him and Mary Timony broke up, if there would ever be a Helium reunion tour, and he said they have talked about it before and it might happen since he enjoyed the music, something like that.
So I suppose it is POSSIBLE.... but who knows. Matador said there will be another two or three bands, and they've already announced a good chunk of their roster. Apparently Liz Phair is doing it so that still leaves a spot or two open. Mission of Burma? Obviously Merge worked out a deal with Matador and both Spoon and Superchunk are there too. Teenage Fanclub did release their first album on Matador so I suppose that might be a possibility.... ~Jeremy~
