Punk-rock / Power Electronics - Definitely less than 40 mins, preferably less than half an hour.
Drone acts - 40-50 mins tops Improv / Free Jazz - Depends, but extended blowouts aren't always entirely enjoyable to listen to. Classical - can go on for as short or as long as required. Indian classical/ragas - Should ideally be released as 6 x LP box sets, but alas a 70 minute CD will do.
