Sonic Youth - Bad Moon Rising, Evol, Confusion is Sex, 1st record (in that order as far as stonedness, after those I hit my 20s).
Echo & the Bunnymen - Porcupine, Heaven Up Here Bauhaus - The Sky's Gone Out, In the Flat Field Pink Floyd - Meddle (which I'm not as into today), Piper at the Gates of Dawn (which I am) Sun Ra - Atlantis MC5 - Kick Out the Jams Black Sabbath - Master of Reality Metallica - Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets (which I'm not as into today) Velvet Underground - discography Killing Joke - Revelations Deep Six compilation (Green River, Melvins, pre-bloat Soundgarden, U-men, Malfunkshun, Skin Yard) Replacements - Let it Be Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed This Mortal Coil - It'll End in Tears Cocteau Twins - Treasure, Victorialand Motorhead - Ace of Spades Hawkwind - Space Ritual Lots of Grateful Dead bootlegs, which is kind of funny today R.E.M - Murmur Rain Parade - Explosions in the Glass Palace Dream Syndicate - Days of Wine and Roses Green on Red - Gas Food Lodging Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight, Invisible Hits Led Zeppelin III (I was into the other albums pre-stoneage actually, but I didn't smoke pot until I was 18). For the most part I'm still totally into all of that stuff, except where otherwise noted. And I don't even smoke pot anymore. |

That's still teenage, though most 18-19 year olds don't think so. |

I nearly never listened to music while smoking pot as a teenager (it was usually outside of high school with a bunch of friends). Anyway back then I was mainly into heavy and thrash metal (Iron Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Pantera and so on), not the best music to listen to when you're high.

Huh? I don't think any of those bands would have sold more than ten records if it weren't for weed! Seriously, without the sweet leaf, metal would never have even happened. |

Never really smoked pot much but I remember getting high one time and putting BMR on and I just layed down in the dark and "Intro" was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard.

Fair enough. None of the records you list were out when I was a teenager (and by teenager, I had to go to 18 & 19, because at 16 & 17 I didn't smoke pot yet and hadn't discovered Sonic Youth and broken out of the AOR FM radio box the smothered the world at the time.) |
