I work 1 building away from that spot. It amuses me seeing skateboarders terryfing people strolling up and down along the river. Sometimes I sit there to have my lunch break and I watch the action. |

I never skated (I have a knee that doesn't work good enough), but I like Rodney Mullen http://youtube.com/watch?v=pPTtdPn-V...elated&search= , he reminds me of LB bassist, too.

i used to, like Alien did.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the Playstation back in 1999 got me into skateboarding. It got a shitload of teenagers into skateboarding. my problem was I ride goofy but made the mistake of learning ollie without actually riding instead i just learned to ollie standing in place so when i started skating, i couldn't ollie, but nollie. i pretty much gave up after that. maybe i should've kept going. also for those familiar with it, I helped build the flat top pyramid at the legendary (kinda) Skankytown skate spot along the East River in Williamsburg. it was a mere 10 or 12 blocks away from my house and i remember also being surprised when KCDC first opened. now it moved next to Beacon's Closet or some shit. don't live in W-burg anymore. |
