i'm going to upload the new pelican album to the group, but let me tell you it's AWFUL, not as bad as the new dinosaur jr or stooges album, but definitely horrible. and now that you are saying that, i'm uploading isis' oceanic (do you have that one?) and in the absense of truth. Quote:
i agree, it's a bit mediocre, but that's because the versions of some of the songs in there are not that good and edited out; the southern lord vinyl is amazing, extended versions = genius. |

haha yeah the new pelican is ... hmm. disappointing.
isis - in the absence of truth was also strangely disappointing, i love panopticon celestial and oceanic but in the absence of truth seems like they just bought a bunch of effects pedals and made an isis parody album. |

really? i liked it because it was a lot more immediate; yes, they refer back to oceanic/celestial but there's still the melodic side of panopticon, but i thought it was more aggressive, i dug that. it took me months to get panopticon when i first got it and even afterwards i rarely listened to it. in the absense i liked it straight up. |

i really love Growing. they're very different from boris, but they create these amazing walls of sound, which usually attracts boris fans.
