Hush hush with all yer slaggin off of the Might Trent Reznor and NIN
NIN are an important part of how i take my anger out, but then again they probably have a lot to do about how i got angry in the first place.

I usually shout or cry. Or both. Then I apologize.

This Trent at his best I think! Uber-Cool dressed in black Trent When I was younger I used Metal music to get my anger out...Rage Against The Machine used to do the trick quite well...now the shitness of most metal music just makes me more depressed. Nowadays I'm stuck in a constant state of Irony and Sacrasm...so I have hardly any anger in me.

I'm definitely not slagging off Trent. I have a conflicted relationship with his music, that's all.

I'm not really involved in any physical activity, so I don't let my anger out by exercising or anything. Also channeling yr anger through your art or shit like that doesn't really work for me either.
I can't really take it out on a individual or go at someone, because most of the time it's not the people, but the circumstances that are troubling me. Occasionally I wish I'd have the ability to make incredibly foul, violent and abrasive music. At least listening to it helps at times. I do tend to complain a lot, but don't really make an effort to make things better. Next time I get pissed off, I just throw myself to the floor and have spastic fits. |

For me it's less about early vs. recent material, and more about Nine Inch Nails as a whole.

Anthrax is a very productive way of venting anger indeed. There was this one time that I mailed anthrax to the wrong person and it got scanned by the Chile police. Their guard dogs caught it and back traced the package, and came to me thinking I was a hater. So away to Chile prison I went (Canada allows stuff like that to happen on the odd occasion). Anyway, back to my tale, they started to seeeee me. They looked at me in the eye and vented: "This is....not a game. This harms your fellow people" But really, I didn't know what to say because I was aware of what he was saying, and I had no proper logical retort back to him. So he explained it to me. Anthrax is an acute infectious disease caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis when they are exposed to infected and and is highly lethal in some forms. Anthrax most commonly occurs in wild and domestic ruminants, but it can also occur in humansanimals, tissue from infected animals, or high density of anthrax spores. Anthrax cannot spread from human to human. Anthrax infection is extremely rare in common domestic pets (dogscats) with only one documented case in the USA in the last 15 years. The word anthrax is derived from the Greek word anthrakis, or "coal", in reference to the black skin lesions victims develop. So I then realized how I was harming people, and became AWARE of what it can do to my fellow people. So it was the last time I sent anthrax out without permission from a local authority.

I ride my scooter, watch a good flick, or do something physical like playing basketball.

Do stress balls work?
Work is driving me insane at the moment, it's only a saturday job too. People infuriate me there, I always try to see the good in people, but lately all I see is the bad shit. Sometimes I feel like the wicker man, in a strange place with a lot of strange people. |

I've had periods like that at my job and I told a coworker who is currently having this problem my secret. once I stopped taking every little fuck up they did so personally (there where lots and they compounded), I was able to distance myself from them far enough that it no longer mattered. I take my job seriously and expect the same of others, but the true fact is MOST people*** are either super-stupid, super-lazy or both (the completely untrainable make me super-crazy). you won't ever be able to fix these people and moving to a new job just brings you a fresh batch. save your blood pressure if you like your job (it's only 1 day a week afterall) and just.....stop caring about them so much. anyways....worked wonders for me. ***disclaimer: I think that most people here fall outside the norm and are somewhat more intelligent than general population. this can be said for most message boards however. |

My solution has been to get drunk
Im starting to realise that isnt a very good way of sorting things. Im going to try and exercise as well as putting myself in better situations. Anger seems to osscilate with despair and hoplessness i find, especially at the moment. |
