video from youtube:
2:09-2:17 - that's what I meant with the repeating fragment from "Kim Gordon and...". 3:52-4:00 - that's what I meant about break progression we already heard in "Reena" and meet again in "No Way". don't be pissed please, I give you arguments. |

So what? They've been doing the same stuff for years. You know that build up thing that they do in the instrumental section in songs like Theresa's Sound World? There's one sometimes two of those every other album. Same scale.

It's a bit different, SpectralJulianIsNotDead. It's self-repeating, note by note. So what? Opinion - I don't like it!

every single band in the world has only so much musical "language" to work with. just like writers. why complain that Vonnegut used the word "undoubtedly" in several books?
why complain that Mozart used a c# chord in every cantata?

it's an extended repeat. 1 hour 5 mins instead of 30 mins.

In case no-one else says this tonight, Pauliebee is a golden god.
And Sonic Youth reminded me of the Experimental.. record on the track they played on Jools a while ago. No bad thing, Kim jumping helped. Mode reminded me of a burnt-out junkie and an ageing Botoxed soapstar from the 80's with Elton John on synths as far away as the other two could get him. Pity. I used to have a lot of time for them. |
