that godflesh/loop split is indeed sweet.
ahhh all of animetal's oeuvre constitutes the greatest covers in the history of man kind. quick ones: *tool - no quarter (led zep) *big star - femme fatale (vu) *flaming lips - strychnine/(what's so funny about) peace, love and understanding (seeds/elvis costello) *ruins' medleys *ni hao! - do you remember rock n' roll radio? (ramones) *pantera - planet caravan (black sabbath) *hüsker dü - iron man (black sabbath) *jesus lizard - wheelchair epidemic (dicks) *sy - nic fit (untouchables) and i wanna be yr dog (stooges) *guns n' roses - new rose (the damned) *black flag - louie louie (kingsmen) *agoraphobic nosebleed - forgotten in space (voivod) *metallica - all of garage days revisited *primal scream - motörhead (motörhead) and some velvet morning (nancy sinatra). *the germs - sugar sugar (some pop band from the 60's, i think it's the archies) *mayhem - into the crypts of ray (celtic frost) *big black - he's a whore (cheap trick) and the model (kraftwerk) |

Indeed. I'm glad I'm not the only one here who recognises the sheer genius of that album. I have made it very clear to most that know me that I want Die Papple vom Karlsplatz from that album played at my funeral. It's a hearty thumbs up from over here. I should've mentioned Gabba (http://www.myspace.com/gabbauk) who do covers of Abba songs in the style of the Ramones. Check the shit out of that shit. The Delgado's cover of ELO's 'mr blue skies' is outstanding. Keiji Haino's version of 'see that my grave is kept clean'. Half man half biscuits version of the same.
