oh wow, I was neg repped because I only slightly suggested that Elijah Wood may perhaps make a good Iggy Pop. I rarely care about negative rep but are you serious?

I can't think of anyone who even comes close to the intensity of Iggy.
It would be one of the most physically demanding roles. Just the stage performances would be crazy. You'd have to look like a meth tragedy in the beginning of the film and a wound coil by the end. You might even need two actors to do it properly. Now who's going to play Lou Reed and Bowie for the film? How about Nico - he reportedly lost his virginity to Nico.

Other casting decisions necessary for an Iggy flick:
Alice Cooper, The MC5, John Sinclair, most of the Andy Warhol crew, Brian Eno, Steve Jones, and John Waters. And Sonic Youth should do the soundtrack - without question.

Didn;t he get his first dose of the clap from her, too? I recall Ron Asheton mentioning that in "Please Kill Me".

Yeah...whatever - the problem with music critics is that they think they know everything about music, but they're just assholes who can't even strum three chords. Is there a link somewhere to an article about this rumored film?

is it healthy that every day that passes, i feel more and more disapporinted about iggy?
the movie is old news and all rock biography movies suck, pretty much without exceptions, so it's not about it. it's about iggy himself. |

Only Bobby Gillespie has the soul, energy and true rock 'n' roll spirit to show the true essence of himself on screen, as his funkless man chicken dancing in the "Movin' On Up" video amply demonstrates.
Have you heard the new Primal Scream single? It sounds like a poor man's version of Ringo Starr's "Back Off Boogaloo"! Ugh.

Which song's that, out of interest?
I read the recent interview with him in the NME, and there was so much Bobbiness present, it made my lungs ache. Ah well, Gillespie interviews are one of my masochistic pleasures, I guess. PS. Saw demonrail last night, he says hi.
