i think it's really lame that when you go to shows for those sort of bands it's like 90% lesbos in the crowd, i.e. they're there for the politics and not the music

They actually have a couple good songs. I once dated a girl who was all into that riot grrl bullshit and I heard a couple good songs out of that. Yes, a couple, as in two I could genuinely get into, but I heard that shit all the time. She was mainly into it for the politics and not the music, which is why you see I'm not with her anymore.

She did turn me on to Sonic Youth though..
