that's true tesla but there are also lots of trendy ass marketers that seek to leech the little bit o bhipness that vinyl has right now.

it is probably all the young downloaders on this board that need to get out and smell the wooden floor boards and the new vinyl sleeves and that anticipation of finding some hidden gold in the under browsed corner of the store, the buzz of finding something rare and beautiful and holding it in your hands.... you just can't get that feeling when downloading... the regular smell of your house, the lack of excercise walking to the store, the lack of any real human communication... i didn't mean for my last post to sound negative but i re-read it and it did oh well... i just figure everyone on this board gets the same excitement as me when going into my favourite record store, but i know alot of people on here download so i figure not... |

Going to hit Princeton Record Exchange tomorrow if I don't have too much schoolwork to get done. Should be harder than usual to avoid getting in everyone's personal space.

The closest places around me participating are a radio station and a Beatles memorabilia store. What the fuck.

Just got home havign been kept waiting outside RPM for half an hour while they took their sweet time opening up, but at least they laid on coffee & pastries
They were limiting the RSD releases to 3 per customer, with the most limited ones (Jesus Lizard 7" box and a couple of others) being raffled this afternoon. I got both SY singles and the Rough Trade C09 cassette, then hit up another store and got an extra Jay Reatard 7", but they were out of the Beck split. I did also manage to nab a copy of the 150-only Tindersticks 7" too Would have also got the Wooden Shjips LP, but the vinyl pressing didn't reach the stores in time... No Pavement LPs for Europe either Going back to bed now, but I'll probably head into town again this afternoon for a couple of the instrore gigs that are happening, along with the raffle draw... |

Would you search for a few cds for me ? Obviously I'd pay for them+postage+a beer, I got a feeling you could find them pretty cheap in there. If you're willing to help pm me.
