Loveless
and Isn't Anything Loveless is my favorite but Isn't Anything is also most awesome. Get them both, but if you can only buy one right now, get Loveless.

Isn't Anything > Loveless by a huge margin.

Sometimes I think so. Other times I don't. To me, they're equally great, just different.
That is... I love both of them equally for different reasons.

Has anyone heard Japancake's version of Loveless? I'm listening to it right now. It's a nice way to hear an album I really can't stand to listen to any more (over-playing records should be made illegal).

But Loveless is RADICAL, as I said I think it's more about the whole atmosphere, it sounds like a cotton cloud. It's more "acheived". It has an incredible ambiance. You can get into it or not... So I think they're both equally fantastic |

Parts of Loveless are like that, but I don't think it's as seamless as it's made out to be.

yes it is.. loveless is a near perfect album from start to finish.. nothing ever sounded like it before and nothing has sounded like it since..... as a complete product.. loveless is as perfect an album as you can get. thats my opinion, it has been my opinion for theb last 17 years and it will remain my opinion until i die...
my favourite album ever......... i have gone into further detail about my love of this record on previous numerous threads so i am not going to again.. it seems to me age is a big point in the loving of loveless.. i was at that age,16/17 years old, the full on music buying coming of age. that is why it had such an impact on me because i can directly relate to it. i can see what a difference it made... most peole now think the new cribs album is groundbreaking!!!!!!! |

I dunno, I hated it. I don't most of think the songs on Loveless are really that strong to begin with, and without the layers of fuzzy guitars it sounded like... nothing. Love the slide guitar parts. It was INTERESTING. But I personally didn't like it. |

I think that's what I like about it. It kind of ekes out the psychedelic side of the record, and shows that the songs are a bit like Stereolab at their most 'ba de de ba de ba ba ba'.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, it's interesting and cool that they did that. But when I listened to the record, I just felt that my slight enjoyment in certain parts was as a novelty and not because the songs were actually good.

exactly. i loved the slide guitar and the pedal steel. I love Soon, it shows how raw and awesome the song is without all the effects and the production. |

maybe I haven't given the Loveless album enough of a chance, but I don't get all the talk of it on here and in general.

I have Isn't Anything, which I really like, but I still haven't bought Loveless. I don't have the money, and if I did, there are many albums which come before it in my list.

I think I'd like it more if it was instrumental.
