I first got into the Pixies with Doolittle but I do like Surfer Rosa way more.
I got tired of the Pixies before I got to Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde. |

Surfer Rosa is my favourite one. I can't stand Doolittle apart from a few songs, weird eh?

Trompe Le Monde was my first Pixies album. I honestly didn't know what to think about it at first. I've since purchased and repeatedly listened to all of the others... and Trompe has actually become my favorite.
I have genuinely grown to love that record. Bossanova is (for me) their absolute worst. |

Each album has its charms, and I like them all very much. Come On/Surfer is abrasive punk (sort of). Doolittle is accessible pop rock (even sounds R&B-ish here and there). I think of Bossanova as space surf. Trompe is like straightahead classic rock (sort of).

Yes it is. It is about the only great song on Bossanova, the rest are just meh, even when compared solely to Trompe le Monde

Really. I like almost all of Bossanova. I have to be in a certain mood though. Summer dazed surfer dude mode, sort of.

I have to be in the mood for the Pixies in general these days. I'm really burnt out on them. The only album of theirs I think I've played this year is Surfer Rosa.

Surfer Rosa has better songs, and starts out awesome, but I think Doolittle is overall just a tad better.

Trompe le Monde is their most underrated, far better than Bossanova.

I voted for come on pilgrim.
Short and sweet. More than 20 minutes of the pixies is too much any way. No puple tapes? |
