That's interesting because having watched a couple of documentaries since starting this thread, I've found myself agreeing with quite a bit of what these groups appear to believe. At the extreme they can become ridiculous, hysterical and overly paranoid but that's a tendency with most marginalised movements anyway. Obviously, when this seeps into ideas of white supremacy they entirely lose any intellectual credibility but, at least with most of the people interviewed on the docs I saw, overt racism wasn't really evident at all.

mainstream media tries to focus solely on the people with overtly racial issues, but many of these militia men are really just fed up with the federal government and it's aggressionsa aginst it's own people.
